So, now that Trump has hailed victory and drained the swamp into his cabinet and the worst of his followers are goose-stepping into history while the rest stand around and play dumb, I'm curious what hilarious, fact-free excuses you have seen so far - or what we may see soon - to justify the Dumpster's lunatic actions.

Here are some of my favorites so far:

Excuse #1: "Uh, you can't take Trump seriously when he says racist things because he's just saying that to get votes."

Refutation: Aside from the fact that Trump has a documented history of racism (sued by the government, look it up Politifact), my bigger question is why should we trust a man who's willing to stoop to such low and violent levels just to win votes?

Also, the funnier part of this is that we're to believe that Trump will gladly wear the mantle of racist "but doesn't mean it," but we're supposed to also believe he DOES mean it when he makes other absurd promises, like magically creating jobs. It's sure convenient to simply pretend that the only things he says are the things you agree with and the rest somehow "don't count!"

Excuse #2: "He's angry, afraid of nothing, and will get things done!"

Refutation: Rage is not a governing strategy, and being bold without having actual policies that work is an equal failure. Voting for somebody because they pretend to be angry "just like you" is insanity.

Also, what "things?" I'm very tired of listening to first-world, right-wing whiners demand "big changes" while failing to see just how far their nation can fall. "Change" is not always good, and America has much further to fall vs. the amount higher it can rise when you compare it to nations around the globe. In short, be careful what you wish for - big changes - because you might just get it.

Excuse #3: "He'll run the government like a business, and he's good at that!"

Refutation: Well, no - he's actually a horrible businessman based on his track record (though his looting ability is unrivaled), but putting that aside, businesses and governments are two very different entities. If we're to run the "government like a business," it would focus on turning a profit (higher taxes?) and look for ways to get out of its obligations. It dose not take a long-term study of history or economics to understand why that's a bad idea.

Any other hilariously stupid excuses you folks have seen so far for Trump's antics?

He will use the bait and switch tactic a lot! He will attempt to take credit for health insurance by keeping 85% of The Affordable Care Act and rebranding it as Trumpcare. He will pretend to stimulate the economy and create jobs with an infrastructure plan that will actually enrich the cronies and private contractors.

Where are his tax returns and when did he get a complete physical exam? Remember that oddball doctor of his with that dumbass note declaring him to be the healthiest presidential candidate in history? Whatever came of that? Did the orange buffoon ever actually have a real exam? My, how the dumbed-down public forgets **** like this.

Yeah, it will be funny to watch the Trump-suckers try to rewrite history. Here's how we have it so far:

1) Obama is somehow to blame for the Housing Bubble that happened before he took office, but deserves no credit for the increase in jobs and the stock market that happened during his term in office.

2) Trump, meanwhile, somehow gets credit for all of that even though he had nothing to do with it, but when his stupid policies cause harm, that will somehow be Obama's fault.

Funny - by the time the far-right is done rewriting history, Obama will be in power (and to blame for everything) for every year EXCEPT 2008 to 2016!

What excuses? The economy grew under Obama, jobs were created, unemployment is down, the stock market is up, Bin Laden is dead, and we're not as deeply entangled in the Middle East as we were when Bush left office. Maybe you don't like those facts, but there are plenty of fact-free right-wing threads you can hang out on in this forum alone. Enjoy yourself there.

I'm still waiting for a reporter to ask him where his private investigators are that were sent to Hawaii
5 years ago and if they are getting paid by the hour or the day. This POS never gets called out and I hope that changes as soon as the media sees that it will be better for ratings. But he will most likely ban anyone that actually dares him to own up.
