Republican at the end of the Bush Administration felt they had not gone far enough in trying to dismantle the United States and convert it to the Confederate Ideals. People forget, these are a bunch of "Confederate Idealist", who has never ceased to fight battles of the Civil War, and they are determined to try and regain what was the Ideals of the Civil War's overall intention. It will become more apparent to the American public as time moves forward.
When the people get it figured out, there will be some dramatic events. The country is already divided by some of the exact same elements that created the Civil War, including the racial components. Republican has been pushing for this for a very very long time, since they left the SOUTHERN Democrats (Dixiecrat's), and took over the Republican Party back in 1969. The Democratic party took up all of the Lincoln Goals when they rid'ed themselves of the bulk of their Confederate minded constituency.
They would love nothing more to exit the United Nations as a first step to usher in what ever is closest to pushing for a Dictatorial programming, where they can not be under the scrutiny concerning Civil Rights and Human Rights and Women Rights.
American people need to pay attention. This is the same man who spent 7.x years trying to insult President Obama with his Birther Crap. Now he has the audacity to be concerned about attempts to de-legatimize him, when he did everything he could in every way he could to try and do the exact same to President Obama.
They complain about President Obama's use of Executive Orders, yet, Trump comes in and that it the first tool he indulged himself to use.

Trump wants to be "King", his penthouse demonstrates that illusionary indulgence in such delusions and then he brings his cheap " His Obsession with Faux Gold to the Whitehouse".
He must be imbecilic to get up talking about 8 yrs, when he has only been there a matter of days. But if he thinks he can use Martial Law to suspend the Constitution and Extend his term in office. He has many realities to face. There are factions in this nation that will never allow him to destroy the Democracy that has been under constructions for 100's of years.
he's already taken steps that will be like a ton of bricks falling on him, when he went in attacking ACA, rather than being wise to make the necessary Amendments and move along. Instead, he pushes for Repeal, but no matter what he does it will be no more than making Amendments to what currently exist. He's too ego maniac to understanding that simplicity.
What we can get ready for, is a demolishing of the Republican Senate and the Republican House, when the next votes come around. Senators will try to run and cover, but they will already have been exposed and they will be replaced, because their ideals do not match with what is America nor what is the Future of America.
Democrats missed the cute, of intervention in the election, what they are failing to focus on is how influences pushed the division between Hillary and Sanders far past the point it should have gone, Sanders should have dropped out and worked to devote his followers to Hillary, But he fell for the meddling, and stayed in and separated the Democratic party, Trump played directly to it, when he kept pushing Sanders, while attacking Hillary. The Democrats have to be wiser to see these things when they are shaping up, not after the fact. I wrote early in these events that it was Sanders time to exist, that his job was never more than to get the young people involved, and bring in the awareness of people who had been distant from political involvement, and his role was to awaken those people and then bring them to support the Democratic Candidate Hillary. He failed at that miserably, Hillary, allowed her victory to blind her from how to embrace Sanders Earlier, but it needed Sanders to make the move to begin the shift of his following.
It may be years before these pundits of political gamesmanship figure this out and come to the conclusion of such, when the simplicity of it is overt. The methodology of the strategy attacked the party and put out info that took down the head of the DNC and when that happened, the party was split, and Sander head became big to think he could win, when that was never in the cards. Now he is out stomping, but still has not figured out how he was played. Yes, this is the angle of the Russian Meddling, Trump was fully aware of it, and was complicit in the gaming of it all. It started with fuller force through Maniford, and was played out by many in the Trump Camp.
Democrats should have been much more wise.
Trump thinks he can pull out of the UN and become a rogue nation like Russia, and join forces with Russia to try and reshape the world under such a Russian - U.S, system. American better wise up, and stop falling for the "mis direction that Trump is engaging"., Every time an issue comes up that bring focus to uncover the truth, Trump will get on Twitter and mis direct the media on some Trivia. The media is not wise nor aware, they chase drama for the sake of Advertising and keeping their seats in front of the camera. They play right into the massive Mis-Direction Gaming and never seems to awaken to see how they are played like a harmonica. The Feud with the Media is key note to the act of Mis-Direction and Distractions and they are so caught up in trying to re-validate themselves, until they fall of it like a genuine sucker group, being duped by their own participation.

The UN is outdated and worthless. It has no power unless the US chooses to enforce its resolutions like we did in Iraq.
The political / military arm of UN is very weak, but the programs which fight famine, disease, poverty etc have been successful. If UN was reformed, they would put more emphasis on those programs and less on the political arm.

agreed. if the UN could somehow get out of 'peace keeping' and only focus on world wide issues such as famine, disease, poverty, etc. --- AND do it a-politically - then it would be a worthwhile organization.
Its not likely the Right Winger would care about anything that promotes "diplomacy". If anything people should be in support of the U.N. becoming a direct proactive Organization, that does not wait until there is mass refugee pushed in motion, and one that steps in and address the Conflicts long before they become raging wild fire of warring factions and engaging in genocide level human tragedies.
This is not Post World War II, now every nation that is in, must prioritize and pay their part, the very poor nations, become less pressed to pay, but more pressed to have the U.N. involved into making sure that corruption is not stripping and weakening the poorer non payers governments. If those government don't want oversight, then they also don't want benefits from the U.N. This is how those dictators who come to power and loot the nation and create campaign fraud. These things should be governed by the U.N. with all nations to ensure there is compliance with free and fair eleticon among all its members,and that human rights is pushed to the top, and nations submit information to ensure their budgets address the humane welfare in their countries and promote education.
We can LEARN to fix things, rather than destroy things. America is good at Destroying stuff, when it can't bleed it for everything it has. That is why we have places like Detroit, and the Rust Belt and Other Devastated Areas, is because we have no sense of Legacy. We have no respect for the value of investing to preserve the Legacy. We see that in how all the Legacy Business and Industries that Built America have been weakened, sold off, dismantled or simply left to become urban rubble.
We will never be like China in protecting his Historical Structures and Cultural things, and we can forget about being and become to respect the legacy of arts and culture to the level of the French. Greed is far too great, and power mongering is too dominant.
There should be no Haiti in the Western Hemisphere, and there should be no poor devastated areas of Africa. As to Africa, every nations on the planet that has any wealth, has plundered in Africa. Any nation where there are people who live in harmony with the land, has been invaded by European Mentality Types, and Western Mentality Types, busting in with weapons and missionaries, full on disrespect for and of the existing culture and people whom inhabit place they seek to indoctrinate with the material driven value system.
The U.N. Needs work, but society across the globe needs to become one of respect for Humanity and the Earth.
European and Western Naiton have to stop going to other countries and using the people as "test subjects" for their drugs and other chemical concoctions. This has been going on for 100's of years and its time for it to stop.

Take Yahoo for instance, who the hell cares what dress some over hyped hybrid of a being, whom has been turned into a media freak has to say about quality and standards. What does, someone wearing some clothes have to do with being "hot"? as if we are a society of perverts who can't think beyond vanity and lust.

The U.N. should have taken up Weapons Proliferation Decades ago, and INSURE "EVERY" weapons transaction between nations is cleared by the U.N. and make sure that every port is staffed to inspect ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THAT ARRIVES AND ANY BORDER CROSSING HAS INSPECTION OF ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THAT MOVES ACROSS BORDERS AS TO GOODS, PRODUCTS, HARDWARE, CHEMICALS AND METALS AND MINERALS.
EVERY FACTORY THAT USE TOXIC SUBSTANCE, SHOULD BE BANNED FROM PUTTING SUCH THINGS IN ANYTHING HUMAN BEINGS CONSUME. NOT IN 10 YRS, BUT STARTING FROM THE POINT OF DISCOVERY AND GIVING COMPANIES NO MORE THAN 90 DAYS TO GET RID OF IT. "PERIOD" !!!!!!!!!!!! IMPOSE FINES AND INSTALL REGULATOR AND MAKE THE COMPANY PAY INTO A U.N. DIVISION WHAT IT COST TO PAY THE SALARY OF INSPECTORS AT THEIR FACTORIES UNTIL THEY MEET COMPLIANCE, AND ISSUE ACTUAL JAIL TIME AND FORFEITURE FOR ANY WHO DOES NOT COMPLY. No More of the Wealthy Buying Away the Law..... and going free with a slap on the wrist.

A new congressional bill seeks to end U.S. participation in the United Nations, but the same bill has been introduced to each new Congress for 20 years running.
I don't see the value of remaining in an organization that has despots,tyrants and human abusers as members of, or heads of the Human Rights Council.
