Sadly, there IS no explanation for the problem with conservatives.

The problem with conservatives is that they are arguing that the "problem" with the liberal mindset (as if we are all clones of each other) can be neatly explained in a three minute clip from a fictional TV show. Kind of reminds me of their denial of climate change.

Hmmm...I thought it was pretty easy to follow the line of reasoning as it applies to methods employed by leftists.

It certainly does accurately describe the leftist m.o. of gaining special privileges by ignoring the expressed will of the people and disrupting society until they get their way, even if it doesn't speak to their present day ideological smugness and intolerance.

Maybe you are too young to remember Sheraton Palace and Peace Park.

Well, if you are, basically what happened was that white upper middle-class spoiled brats attending UC Berkley discovered that if they threw a tantrum by staging a sit-in, they would get all or most of whatever it was they wanted (see $70 bike).

The practice was effective for them because, being someone's precious little white UMC darling, they would not get the **** kicked out of them the way blacks protesting in the South would.

From that point on, protesting for what they wanted replaced working for what they wanted.

And while blacks denied employment at the Sheraton Palace probably had a legitimate claim of discrimination, going forward, the legitimacy of one's claim mattered less and less as the tactics took on a life of their own.

Today, the same UMC spoiled brats who once protested for free speech are pissed-off that people are in "denial of climate change".

WAAAA!!!! WAAAAA!!!! WAAAAA!!!!!

Milo nailed it.

And that's one of my most favorite Andy Griffith episodes ever.

Great video showing the early education.

They get the diploma when they smash a window, burn a trash can or car, but the Ivy League passport to becoming truly unhinged is dreaming of blowing things up.
