I truly hope that the new administration can take that allocation for Palestine back to Congress and have it officially stopped. Good start though.
Now it would be nice if we could somehow get back all that cash and gold we sent Iran. That said, I am sure we will get our monies worth somehow if Trump has his way.
Circumstances change. Congress made the mistake of trusting Obama to respect the 'hold' on funding, which he did until hours before he left office. Congress should have known better, and simply repealed the appropriation. If there's any way Trump can stop the $$$, he should.
Think of how many suicide bomb vests, mortars and rockets that won't get bought and used against Israel if they can completely halt the transfer of those funds.

No, As long as the Palestinian Authority met certain "criteria" then it could be paid out. Obama skipped the "criteria" part and attempted to pay out the money without meeting the "criteria" part. Do you see the difference?
Trump brands himself as a master negotiator and yet has totally screwed the pooch on this. We have been giving the Palestinians aid for years. They are hooked on it at this point. A good negotiator would have threatened to cut them off unless they do something for us. That is the whole point of foreign aid, is to have power over the recipient. This is amateur hour on the part of Trump.
