They were not able (or willing) to show that the company benefitted from the program. Remember in FL GOP has super majorities in Congress, which might explain their unwillingness to push it too much.

They did this in Florida and it ended up costing the state more money than it saved.

All these "no" arguments because "it doesn't work" or its a "waste of money". You all are as bad as those who want it.

It doesn't matter if it did work. It doesn't matter if it was cost effective. It's unconstitutional. Period.

When you live off tax payers dime it is constitutional!
There is some famillies who breed welfare generations,that is intolerable period!I work in the oil field and I am glad there is drug testing I do not any drug user working near me period and hope for the users to get caught during randoms.What you may do at home last night may affect my saftey on the job today.Some people have a legitimate need to be on welfare but if you look back to its creation it was only supposed to be temporary.

Oh sure, until they do something while on drugs and the company pays for it or loses their business......was this a thought? Look at the hicks who were drinking on the job at lunch break and going back to working on cars. What one does on their own time is one thing, the problem people tend to get stupid and do it on their lunch break. My one issue this isn't stopping drunks from drinking on the job.
