I agree, but why is he still the governor of Florida? It seems to me why would he even care whether it saved the taxpayer money or not, as long as he profited. Has anyone determined how much profit his family made? Has anyone looked into whether he has introduced other bills or ignored/overturned laws in order for his family to game the system further?
They were not able (or willing) to show that the company benefitted from the program. Remember in FL GOP has super majorities in Congress, which might explain their unwillingness to push it too much.
I believe Florida also put the cost onto the welfare recipient and would then 'reimburse' the cost. I dont think it was a small amount either. For a person or family that needs that money, to put a burden like that before getting welfare is horrible. To me, if they want to require drug testing, the cost MUST be covered in full by the state.
All these "no" arguments because "it doesn't work" or its a "waste of money". You all are as bad as those who want it.
It doesn't matter if it did work. It doesn't matter if it was cost effective. It's unconstitutional. Period.
When you live off tax payers dime it is constitutional!
There is some famillies who breed welfare generations, that is intolerable period!I work in the oil field and I am glad there is drug testing I do not any drug user working near me period and hope for the users to get caught during randoms. What you may do at home last night may affect my saftey on the job today. Some people have a legitimate need to be on welfare but if you look back to its creation it was only supposed to be temporary.
Don't be stupid, it is you who was blaming the RED STATE! Educate yourself before blaming it on a party, things are more complicated than the color of a state. Most of these counties are Democrat ran, no wonder the NA are getting no where.
Remember when Nancy Pelosi thought the cure for drug addiction was to give clean needles.......yet you want to blame the RED STATE!
I'm saying peoples' qualifications qualify them for jobs and they should not be subjected to invasions of their privacy without cause.
Oh sure, until they do something while on drugs and the company pays for it or loses their business......was this a thought? Look at the hicks who were drinking on the job at lunch break and going back to working on cars. What one does on their own time is one thing, the problem people tend to get stupid and do it on their lunch break. My one issue this isn't stopping drunks from drinking on the job.

Could you quote this part of the Constitution?

You are intolerable and ignorant of your rights and the rights of others.
Great. A red state finally admits that it's fulla dope addicts and welfare bums.
... created by a federal government that wrecked their local economy by regulating and taxing all the jobs out of existence.
