Excellent question. I'll bet many don't know why or hadn't thought about it. From the outside looking in it appears that voting democrat for many blacks is "just what you do". Dem leaders have them just where they want them.

If Emanuel cared half as much about the black population under his jurisdiction who are being murdered on a daily basis, can't even walk to school safely, and go to bed hungry, as much as he cared about the plight of the illegal alien, then maybe something would be getting done.

Why do black voters still so monolithically give their vote to Democrats like this who obviously don't care about them after election day? I am genuinely asking black voters here, what am I missing? Doesn't this tick you off?
The paternal plantation mentality does not fall far from the tree. Why don't you concentrate on why Republicans keep voting against their own self interests? Maybe you'll be able to help your fellow whites in West Virginia. How about out of work coal miners and poor whites in places like rural Kentucky who are going to lose health coverage while Trump, the Con Man, is fleecing the USA for his own monetary benefit.

I suspect that most of the persons asking "why do Blacks vote Democrat" are not the ones running for office. And to that, I ask this. Why the obsession?

We vote for whomever we feel like voting for. If you'e not black, you don't need to know why we vote the way we do. We vote for Dems because we feel like it. Accept that as your answer and move on.

Do you mind answering his question if you are black? He's not chiding anyone - simply wants to know why.

No self respecting African American should answer the question.

Why? You want reparations from whites yet can't answer a simple question ?

Honestly, neither party really cares about Blacks all that much. No matter who wins, Blacks are always at the bottom. So why is there such an obsession about who Blacks vote for?

You've got your business, and i've got mine. When you become black i'll answer.
