Poor judgement. What a ding-a-ling. Stern talking to and threaten with firing if she doesn't develop a sense of what is appropriate and what isn't, when in the workplace.
If she were an independent artist, I'd side with you on that, but as an art TEACHER, she has much more social responsibility with the actions she takes.
Edit: Also as an art TEACHER she is paid by the tax payers, political opinions should be out of the picture here.

There are better, more creative, more productive ways to make kids think critically and creatively.

Eh, there were rightwingers who burned Obama in effigy after he was elected. Granted, the context of the classroom wasn't part of it, but still: let's not be hypocritical. Hate and idiocy are present in many humans, regardless of their party affiliation or political ideology.
