Just remember, 46% of California land is owned by the federal government. So, the federal government could put a refinery or two on the land, maybe a nuclear power plant and they could frack the heck out of it and California could do jack about it.

If Trump pulled all of the federal offices for all federal agencies out of California (would have to if California secedes, and moves them elsewhere, 245,000 (as of 2013) California federal workers would be out of a job. How would that be for California's economy? Federal contractors...gone.

If California secedes, 55 electoral college votes go bye-bye for the Democrats in the remaining US. Now the Republicans would love it but how about the other Democrats who are not in California?

Of course as a sovereign country, California will have to spend money to defend its borders...and those are big borders They will need to have their own military. I'm sure all of the surfing dudes will suit up. US military would be pulled out. Some of it will be defending our federal land against the Californians. Hey, maybe we'll invade California and dissolve the new country and give the land to another state. Utah could use some ocean property...We could sell conquered California to the Chinese to help pay off the National Debt. Maybe the Israeli's would like some vacation land outside of the Middle East. Both countries know how to build a good wall.

Federal money to fight California The Country wildfires? Gone.

We'll let you keep Nancy Pelosi...and Hollywood. You're welcome.

3. The agriculture sector would collapse from lack of water supplied from other states.

4. The border would be closed and Californians who wanted to move to the remaining states would go to the back of the line with other immigrants.
5: Calif would break up further and, that state north of SF will rejoin the US.

OK I'm back. The 5 year old didn't really want to talk but wanted to know if I had any shotgun shells I could give him. Hooked him up with a half dozen or so.

Too funny about keeping Pelosi and I'm from California. I would think 18MontClair doesn't know much about USA judging from his frequent threads.

Under Obama many from Pakistan lost their Visa's after having them. Crickets........from the left. I guess it's because he never shared this information and nobody cared about these people them.

Right now they are looking under every rock for crap to back their hatred for Trump. It makes them look pretty stupid though. It would be better if they just said, "listen, we just hate him regardless of what he does, good or bad." At least I'd have respect for the honesty.

It was ironic that Clinton said that crap seeing NAFTA was a Yuge reason for all the illegals coming over to work here. They had no more small farms at home to work on, left a lot of ghost towns with no husbands.

California sends more money to Washington than it gets back from Washington. If Washington wants to cut off Californian cities, California is completely within its rights to keep that money within California.
