If Trump pulled all of the federal offices for all federal agencies out of California (would have to if California secedes, and moves them elsewhere, 245,000 (as of 2013) California federal workers would be out of a job. How would that be for California's economy? Federal contractors...gone.

If California secedes, 55 electoral college votes go bye-bye for the Democrats in the remaining US. Now the Republicans would love it but how about the other Democrats who are not in California?

Of course as a sovereign country, California will have to spend money to defend its borders...and those are big borders They will need to have their own military. I'm sure all of the surfing dudes will suit up. US military would be pulled out. Some of it will be defending our federal land against the Californians. Hey, maybe we'll invade California and dissolve the new country and give the land to another state. Utah could use some ocean property...We could sell conquered California to the Chinese to help pay off the National Debt. Maybe the Israeli's would like some vacation land outside of the Middle East. Both countries know how to build a good wall.

Federal money to fight California The Country wildfires? Gone.

We'll let you keep Nancy Pelosi...and Hollywood. You're welcome.

Again, California sends more to Washington than it gets back. So if California is not sending that money to Washington to begin with, it has MORE money to fight wildfires.

If republicans would be happy to lose an economy the size of the UK's, then they are not as evil as I thought, just stupid.

Wrong. The CA sends more money to DC than DC sends back mantra is very selective accounting. Are you including all the money coming into CA for military spending? Money that pays Federal employees of which you have nearly a quarter million? What exactly are you counting as money going to DC and money that comes back? The reality is that we have trillion dollar deficits each year and surely a hefty chunk of that deficit spending is attributable to CA.

google is your friend.

On every dollar Ca sends in, it receives 80 cents (or close to that) back. My state (red) sends a dollar and receives 95 cents back. Most of the other red states receive way way more than they send.

I also question what is included in the money received from Washington. California has 12℅ of the U.S. population yet receives 33℅ in benefits.

Welfare, disability, WIC, food stamps, bonuses for agencies such as the Child Protective Services for adopting out & for putting children in foster care. Then there are the free lunches & breakfasts for schools, education, healthcare, federal employees & their benefits & pensions, funding for freeeays (Interstate Hwys), companies allegedly pursuing green energy (think Solinda), earned income credits, student loan money, student grants, social security pymts, medicare payments, money to run the ports & military bases & provide pay & housing, etc., money for national parks, FBI offices & personnel, Homeland Security, money now sent to sanctuary cities...

.. Hard to believe California residents send in more tax dollars to the U.S. Treasury than they receive from all the above & more. I lived there a very long time. The state has done nothing but deteriorate.

They can't do math, they are too busy educating their dullards on how to place a condom on a cucumber.

These idiots are in for a rude awakening.

I am grabbing the popcorn and waiting with glee to see stupidity come to reality.
