Soros can afford it. And now though since these people who are still here can't be sent back nor I gather be admitted, I hope they like sleeping on benches in the airport for who knows how long.
The refugees part of it is the part that's being argued, the visa'ed and green card'ed people easily can pass under due process/equal protection. The case was filed in a federal circuit in NY so, it's already slightly up in the elevator.

How can I get get money from Soros for protesting? Do I just call him up?

Soros can afford it.
Oh, I'm sure Soros will continue his support of the ACLU.

But you are sadly mistaken if you think many thousands of other americans won't be chipping in as well.

Absolutely. I'm embarrassed for our country and frankly shocked that anyone can continue defending his atrocious actions. They are those one might see from a dictator. He just thinks he can sign one EO after another and His Will Be Done Forever More. Thank goodness for our three branches of government who can act as a ballast against his abuses of power.

I am not sure one could call them 'legal immigrants' which, to me, implies permanent settlers who just have not yet been granted full citizenship and the rights thereof ... but I am not a lawyer or judge. I expect there may be some interesting courtroom drama coming. I wonder if it can be fast tracked to the Supreme Court (right after the new judge is appointed/confirmed). And I am all out of popcorn.
True. They were always called aliens. Some people don't consider that word to be politically correct but it refers to illegals as well as those who are legally here.

For instance, my husband is a green card holder. He came here legally from England. First he became a legal permanent resident and I think it was six months later he applied for and got his legal permanent residency with all provisions lifted.

No one gets citizenship "granted." They need to have already been a legal permanent resident for five years and need to have a clean record. Then they can study, pay the fees, and take the test for citizenship if they want to. That would mean that they gain the right to vote. My husband has a keen interest in American history and could easily become a US citizen but at his age (70) I advised him to save his money (it's not cheap and we are not rich.)

Well the media is reporting that he is supporting the protesters (and with him that means financially). Some of the crowds no doubt are 'organic' as you say but even they probably didn't get the idea in their heads alone. He salts the protests with professional activists and organizers who call up a bunch of gullible students and their friends and mommies and daddies and say ... it's Saturday night and we ain't got nobody. Y'all come on down ... to the airport and we'll tell you why once you get here.

Not necessarily. Federal courts have appellate jurisdiction. It would only go to the Supreme Court if there was disagreement among the lower courts or a State was suing Trump.

You're happy that American citizens are forced to be detained thanks to the idiot in the White House?

Well, Congress won't be stopping his abuses of power since Republicans are in control, and they're just as corrupt as he is. Just pray Democrats gain one or both houses next year to put some checks on his dictator aspirations.

I would pray that they don't, but no need to. It will never happen. The Dems Senate 2018 map is disaster for them, and Middle America keeps the House GOP.
