Yep, Obama set the precedent. Where was all the faux outrage then? Are lefties just really SO under-informed that they have no clue that Trump is repeating an EO that had already previously been implemented by Obama?

There was no advance warning about permanent residents being barred entry, just visa applicants and refugees. There will most definitely be lawsuits.

I find it interesting that Saudi Arabia isn't on the list of banned countries, even though Saudi Arabia is the mother ship of radical Islamic extremism and exports it all over the world. And their citizens can still get a visa and come to the US. Didn't really make sense, but then I remembered, Trump does business in Saudi Arabia.

Unknown number of U.S. permanent residents stuck overseas as a result of Trump's immigration ban - LA Times

Saudi Arabia is the American defense industry's #1 foreign customer!

Coincidence they're not on the list?

I think not.

Looks like this administration will sell out Americans' safety in the interest of the bottom line.

Did you expect anything else? Remember Cindy Sheehan? What happened to her antiwar protest come January 20 or so, 2009?

EO are enacted by the lazy. I said this many times concerning Obama. EO are always temporary. If you believe in something you convince the country and get it instituted as actual law.

EO are the realm of the lazy.

I never quit and I pointed out many times how others quitting was going to hurt them in the end. Even though that happened people still absolutely refuse to learn.

Wait. Now they are saying no green card holders are affected.

If so, what's the outrage?

Ah Bing went home to visit China, but because of the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882, Mr. Bing was never allowed to return to the United States.

We also banned Asians from immigrating to the US until 1965, purely for racist reasons.

And now we're doing the crap all over again, because of peoples' irrational fears of some veil wearing Muslims. This is even from Fox News:

Trump's immigrant ban part of a long, sad tradition | Fox News

I thought America has made some progress more than its 19th century mindset.
And we expelled and banned non citizen German and Italians from entering US during WWI and WWII. Total rational response given that we were at war. We didn't allow Russians into the US for 60 years based on a difference of political ideology. Where were the liberal outrage then?

And this isn't a #Muslimban. This is a temporary ban on a few select countries, three of which are on the US State Dept top list of state sponsored terror. Muslims from the other 44 majority Muslim nations worldwide can still travel freely into the US.

You're missing the point that the refugee pause is PURPOSELY temporary, in order to make sure the vetting process is accurate. As such, an EO rather than a law is preferred because it can easily be rescinded.

Same reason. Where did the Ohio State University terrorist come from, or visited recently? Where did the San Bernardino terrorists come from, or visited recently? Etc. Etc.
