This is like the same argument where liberals believed that captured Al Qaeda terrorists from other countries should be entitled to a lawyer and trial.

Also it is amazing to me how liberals hate religion -- unless that religion is Islam, in which case they rush to defend it.

8 US Code Subsection 1182 (f);

(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President
Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. Whenever the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry of some or all aliens transported to the United States by such airline.

People from countries on the list who have earned citizenship in countries that are allowed to come here without prior approval are now also banned. So, for example, an Iraqi who earned U.K. Citizenship is also no longer allowed to enter the US. Effectively this one ridiculous order means that we're trying to redefine citizenship for our allies, as well. This is insane and wrong.

We should remember this when someone argues for illegals.

He could have at least put these people on notice so they could make travel arrangements to return. There was no advance warning about permanent residents being barred entry, just visa applicants and refugees. There will most definitely be lawsuits.

I find it interesting that Saudi Arabia isn't on the list of banned countries, even though Saudi Arabia is the mother ship of radical Islamic extremism and exports it all over the world. And their citizens can still get a visa and come to the US. Didn't really make sense, but then I remembered, Trump does business in Saudi Arabia.

Again you are twisting the facts. If you are in this country legally you are good! That person has met the legal standards.

Unvetted and here Illegal they must go home and in handcuffs just to send a message. Placing bands of travelers or refugees from hostile countries is a good precautionary step. I do not want to see the violence which we witness in Nice France, Belgium, Germany and the UK.

So you an your liberal friends is hopping in the Mall of America and Terrorism strikes? What is your view on National Security now?

Saudi should be on that list as well. After 911 was linked to the Crown of the Saudis. I am not upset, I am realistic the threats to this Nation.

different people have different opinions on refugees. It's a free country after all. However, you don't need a law degree to know that there is no court in this country that will uphold the part that applies to legal permanent residents. While, a legal resident can be refused entry based on individual basis (violating some terms of the permanent residency, etc.), that's an exceptional case, totally different from a blanket ban.
And it absolutely does not matter if the person comes from Europe, Middle East, Asia, etc., or Mars...

And there is back-pedaling already talking about "additional checks" instead.

And to the comments that "you can get an exception" - you have to be really delusional to think that there is an airline that will board a traveller with an active ban.

Again, you people, for all of your disingenuous lies, deserve the full force of whatever snap-back comes.

You are likely to make things much worse with this type of crying.
Why do you like saying, you people to other posters. That phrase always sound so divisive, like you are better or above them, or talking down to people. I mean life is short, can we at least try to get along with people. You don't know life is going to play out, these same you people might save your life, or be your caretaker one day.

Yes it is. Giuliani admitted it on national TV saying Trump asked for a legal way to ban Muslims.
