So it seems all that practice on TV saying "you're fired" did actually come in handy for his Presidency

He is a loyalist, and will agree with everything without questioning, so his presence is basically a formality.

But makes no difference what alternative facts are peddled by Spicer or random posts on C-D, ISIS got it loud and clear -- Americans hate Muslims.

Good times.
When Obama put into place a 6 month ban on travelers from Iraq in 2011, was that also a "Muslim ban"???

And btw, the seven countries affected are ones identified by the Obama administration. Who knew he hated Muslims?

AGs are not meant to be the presidents minions who do whatever the president wants without a question. Such department would have no purpose.

"The Department of Justice, established in 1870, represents the citizens of the United States in enforcing the law in the public interest"

Among their main duty is to provide general legal interpretations, opinions, and advice to United States Attorneys, and that is precisely what she got fired for.

There was no 6 month ban and it was for a particular threat, Trumps ban is him following through on his campaign promise. There was no immediate threat that required a sudden ban, this is just a photo op.

So there was no ban but there was one?

Leftist thinking at its best.

Obviously, President Trump had the full right and authority to fire Ms Yates. I was only disturbed by the 'betray' language, which is often the language of despots.

If, Mr. Obama, when he became president, fired the acting A.G. and used the word 'betray' in justifying the firing, I have no doubt that our conservative posters would have been fine with it, just as they are fine with it now.

Or could I be mistaken?

Translation: Sessions will be nothing more than an "azz kissing yes man." America can be proud.

It was a slow down while they reprocessed 58,000 refugee applications, that effectively slowed down new applicants. This was done because finger prints of 2 refugees were connected to bomb making. Now tell me why we needed to immediately shut down immigration around the world.

She's an Obama political appointee so she would get the heave ho anyway but would just be politely asked to resign. The issue itself is not the reason. Who in their right mind would hire someone who will be famous for not doing her job? I wouldn't hire her to stack shelves in a supermarket.
