A snap trade war with a country with which the US has a $367 billion trade deficit: China orders a 90-day trade halt. They have the ability to do that and wait to see who blinks first.

And we thought the OPEC oil embargo was bad.

Even if the US reinstated the draft, it only has 145,215,000 people available, and only 120,025,000 of those are fit for service.

China on the other hand has 750,000,000 people available, and 619,000,000 of those are fit for service.
My dad said once- all China had to do was start walking-- they would come and come and fill the USA with Chinese just by walking in - we could not kill them fast enough

Problem being if they do reinstate draft it means they have a plan to go to war. A war today would require more then the National Guard and our regular army. As we all saw during Desert Storm it takes us 6 months to get up to speed. Nutty Don and his guys want to start a war they will need to be ready quickly.

We already have elite armed forces. There is no need to force millennials to fight in a war.

Instead, what we need is a mandatory 2 year boot camp for all males starting at age 18. Regardless if any male graduates High School or is a dropout, all males will be required to enlist at their state National Guard of the United States.

The United States Army will oversee the program. Each male will receive a yearly salary of 25,000 dollars, held in an escrow until their discharge from the program.
