In a class action lawsuit by ex-members of a Trump FL Golf Course, a federal Judge has found that Trump has to pay the ex-members $5.7 Million Dollars as refunds of their membership dues and other deposits that they lost when Trump took over the golf course. Trump had refused to refund their deposits after changing the rules affecting those members.

Trump has also sued the city of Ossining, N.Y. to try to get his taxes lowered. The city has appraised the luxury golf course at $15 Million Dollars, while Trump says it's worth only about $1.5 Million.

Meanwhile, back at the farm....the Trump branded prestigious golf course in Puerto Rico has filed for bankruptcy.
Trump golf course must pay $5.7 million to former members - Feb. 1, 2017

Hard to keep up with all the bankruptcies and lawsuits.

I'm a small business owner who makes small potatoes.

In the past year alone I've been sued once, received a "cease and desist" letter, joined a class action lawsuit as a plaintiff and strategically depreciated some assets to junk when they really weren't.

It's called the price of doing business. We have 4 permanent employees. I Drive a 1999 Camry. Doing fine. Middling along.

So yeah, Trump's whole world is what I do times a billion adjusted for scale.

Well, Trump also routinely screws over workers and refuses to pay them, so he gets sued far more than your typical business person.

How many lawsuits per year does he get, and what is the average for a comparable sized real estate/development company?

Links please.

Trump-branded golf resort files for bankruptcy - Jul. 13, 2015

A golf resort in Puerto Rico that bears Donald Trump's name filed for bankruptcy on Monday.

"Trump does not own or develop the Trump International Golf Club in Rio Grande, PR. The golf course and resort uses the Trump name for a fee via a licensing agreement.

The club filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy under its original name, the Coco Beach Golf and Country Club."

It's too bad that people post fake news and then accuse others of it. He isn't on the hook for any of the monies owed. Try getting your heads out of the sand and find the truth......Hypocritical is what I say.....

I'm sure Trump will file an appeal.

Accepted, but how many suits will you say makes him a bad businessman? Or this is a normal business plan.

Times a billion? So you make less than $10 a year?

By the way, after being a business owner for decades, I can honestly say that I never received a cease and desist letter and I was never involved in a lawsuit. One of those businesses was a small insurance agency and one would imagine (from what you wrote) that after writing hundreds of policies, at least one person would have filed a complaint against me. Nope..not one. Maybe it's the type of business you're in, but I wouldn't be bragging about it.

Yes, I do expect a billionaire to be sued once in a while, a lot more than the average business owner. After all, that kind of wealth makes anyone a target. However, the vast number of lawsuits against Trump and the type of complaints in those suits (stiffing contractors, mechanics, bartenders) is what's disturbing, since it shows he lacks character and integrity.
