Well, we could just give up and pray for better ratings, and be happy that churches may be free to campaign for the candidates of their choice, and that trump freely decides to send people into harm's way over dinner...

ON Newshour this evening, they said something like "people asked for change, but did they really want the chaos that is happening?" I kinda think not, on the whole... but, yeah, there are a lot who seem to bask in the derangement that is trump's Murica.

There is no point even trying to respond to the above poster. They have to show some signs of actually being able to think before you can engage in any type of debate. No amount proof will change this persons mind, because they aren't interested in the truth. Nearly everything they post is a lie thats easily exposed with a rudimentary internet search.

All of this on his part can't be accidental, it can't be undeliberate. No, this is increasingly beginning to look all part of a larger plan to change our government.

Trump and Bannon's coup in the making (Opinion) - CNN.com

Wake up America! Before it's too late.
So its Trump's fault all these crazy SJWs are looting and pillaging? I fail to see how that can be.

He said exactly what he was going to do before the election.

He was elected.

He is doing exactly what he said he was going to do.

What checks and balances has he done away with?

What basic principle has he suspended?

As far as changing out government....WHAT PLANET HAVE YOU BEEN ON!!!!!!! That was the center of his whole campaign. Yes he is going to change it......for the better. Its why he won.

How can this be a coup in the making? Thats the dumbest thing I have heard today, well besides all that nonsense Fiyero was spewing. HE WAS ELECTED!!!! HE ALREADY IS IN CHARGE!!!!!! How can he "coup" himself.

look at how ridiculous this quote from your article is

Quote:
using the resulting spaces of chaos and flux to create a kind of government within the government: one beholden only to the chief executive.
lol. There is already a kind of government within the government thats beholden only to the chief executive. lol...ITS THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH.

That opinion piece is nothing but a bunch of poorly thought out ideas and dark innuendos that only someone really foolish would place any stock in.

Since taking the oath of office, Trump:

--has appointed Bannon to the National Security Council, and has removed the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

--has threatened a military invasion of Mexico, and angered Mexico's own president to the point that a long-planned meeting between the two was cancelled.

--has insulted the prime minister of Australia, one of the United States' best allies.

--has inspired close to a million British subjects to sign a petition asking that his intended state visit with the Queen be cancelled.

--has abruptly and without adequate planning, stopped residents with the legal right to enter our country from returning to their families, homes, schools, and workplaces, thus raising our country's vulnerability to terrorism through creating and increasing hatred and resentment.

--has proposed legally favoring Christians over members of other religions: "some Americans are more equal than other Americans".

--has proposed allowing houses of worship and religious organizations to freely participate in political issues and to support candidates for office financially and in other ways, while maintaining tax-exempt status.

---has supported those who would downgrade America's public schools by allowing tax support for private schools.

--has proposed ending the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and privatization of public radio.

--has allowed his supporters and staff to claim "alternative facts" whenever the documented truth is inconvenient.

--has advocated selling off millions of acres of America's public lands. Has supported the ending of the Clean Water Act, something which has now come to pass. Has allowed the construction of dangerous oil pipelines across pristine lands and waterways, whose products will be sold outside this country for private profit.

--has gathered a cabinet composed of individuals whose private interests conflict with their responsibilities, and who are more likely to destroy the very things they are charged with protecting and nurturing

---has threatened non-partisan career employees of the Department of Agriculture, the National Park Service, the Department of the Interior, and the Environmental Protection Agency with dire consequences for publicly speaking of their concerns and the results of tests they administered and records they kept concerning climate change.

--has by his actions led to the abrupt resignations of over 900 experienced and non-partisan career State Department employees, who left for reasons of conscience.

---has shown himself to be extremely self-focused, thin-skinned, easily triggered, possessed of a remarkably short attention span, no humor, a coarse view of the opposite sex, and extremely little intellectual curiosity and embarrassingly little common knowledge, possessed of a small speaking vocabulary and little ability to use it effectively, has demonstrated little interest in or civility towards others in positions of importance to him and our country, including foreign and domestic leaders at all levels of government, civilian and government scientists, educators and scholars, and members of minority groups.

---has alienated business leaders, leading to the cancellation of proposed factory visits. He has relied on an extremely small group of insider advisors with little or no prior government experience, and dubious qualifications in other fields, one of whom is a self-proclaimed Leninist.

--has stated his admiration of Vladimir Putin of the bloody hands and his desire to cancel American sanctions towards Putin's Russia, even as Putin restarts the invasive war against Ukraine, the largest country in Europe, an American friend and ally, and a striving democracy with a strategic location.

I could go on, but I expect I've already lost most of Trump's short-attention spanned admirers. They seem to perceive him as a strong successful guy who will boss around the rest of the world and bring it into submission to his America First vision. But that vision, while sounding superficially attractive, cannot be brought to reality.

The factories are not going to come back, folks, and even if a few do, that 20% tariff is going to alienate our trading partners, who don't just trade with us but with lots of other countries. China will draw closer to Australia. China will grow stronger. We will be weakened, diplomatically and economically, as small businesses struggle, and small manufacturing cannot keep up the pace nor produce the quantity or quality demanded by American consumers at a price that is acceptable to the consumers.

Anger and frustration and further division will result (and no doubt, some will find a way to blame Hillary, Obama, or the Democrats or the "leftists" or the Muslims or somebody - anybody but their hero - for the failure).

That wall, if built, certainly won't be built by Mexico or paid for it by Mexico. And it's true cost won't be measured at first, but given time - alienating one's next-door neighbor is not wise.

The impoverished public schools will do their best, but it won't be good enough. The charter schools will use textbooks with "alternative facts". And it will be unpatriotic to question, much less protest these things, all of which have been brought about by the Great Leader - or rather, they who stand behind him.

It's going to a Golden Dawn, sure enough. Same kind of gold King Midas was so fond of.

But the sunset will come, and some new day will be different, as long as those of us who remember what this country was meant to be and until now, has striven to become, do not fail to remember and do not fail to pass that heritage down. If the schools won't do it, we must. Teach your children and grandchildren well. We, or perhaps they, or maybe all of us, are going to have a big job ahead to clean up and repair and put back what pieces we can, when we can...

Save the people, save the country, save democracy and justice and freedom.

rumors. Turnbull quoted as saying conversation ended fine, and the Trump didn't like the deal Obama made but the US would honor it.

Unless your a US citizen you don't have a legal right to enter this country. Green card holders were let in. Not sure how that raises our vulnerability to terrorism.

Good riddance. I didn't know that was already gone, thank you for the info...if your right...again no source.

The Clean Water Rule (not act) was a clear overreach of Fed authority and needs to be tossed in the garbage.

Not true. He did the same things Obama did when he took office and I believe Bush did.

Right. Have you not seen the number of Business leaders lining up promising to build factories and hire people since he got elected. The list is getting long and the amount of money and jobs is getting YUGE!!!!

Something Obama said was impossible I might add.

Business love him. get real. This is just pure idiocy.

lol. You say he can't or won't do those things but...I dunno. People like you been saying this for over a year. He has done more of what he said he would do in 2 weeks than the last 4 Presidents did their whole terms. I got faith he will get around to the rest.

You need to relax a bit. Turn off whatever obviously crappy news you watch and get a hobby. Its only been 2 weeks. Your never going to make it the next 414.

Two things are possible with DT----he will make America great again, or he plunge this country into a costly and protracted war and also loosen financial regulatory controls that will create avarice, greed, and ultimately lead to another meltdown.
Sadly, I see the second scenario as much more likely.
