It is not a policy. That was it. No more were planning to be swapped.
That deal doesn't even make sense at all. Why would we give them people who were in US facilities and we take people from islands near them? Why? Why can't Australia take the ones near them even if they come by boat? It makes no sense whatsoever and you aren't even questioning it.

Yeppers; properly vetting a Saudi using information given to you by SAUDI government is of much more effective vetting than those others. The Saudi government were connected with the money flow to those guys that blew you up but to date they travel freely to the U.S.

Yes, the Saudi government helped the 9/11 terrorists | New York Post

This is a sham exercise to pander to a particular demographic of Americans and it's working like a charm to keep you fearful, confused and deflected from fact.

You know .... if, after the last few days of copious media reports and posts and discussions on this - you STILL don't get it, just move on to your next outrage. It's obviously too complicated to understand for you.

Seen a lot of Saudi refugees, have you?

No one from Somalia can be vetted. Sudan....Yemen......Iran...Syria.. et al.

Kuwait also has banned entry from some Muslim countries....Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran.
Those of us with actual brains know why.

You don't vet all immigrants? Student visa applicants, temporary work permit holders, is that what you're admitting? Why bother vetting any refugees then?

Were we only talking about refugees or the Trump ban on all entrants?

If you had an actual brain you would not have seized upon the irrelevant while hosting 13 million who got no vetting whatsoever and who comprise a portion of your major crime stats far higher than any refugee group from anywhere.

Clearly, trump's staff has either deliberately tried to insult Australia, or they are simply incompetent.

IMO, both.
The President thing was ignorance and omitting the name petulant.

(Who doesn't respect whom?! . )

Most comments have been making jokes on this but - from the perspective of the government, yeah - that's offensive.
