Yes. Went to college with many. There are many in my neighborhood now. Also, there is a Muslim community/ radicalization center about a quarter mile from my house.

I knew two brothers in grade school in the '50s, we regularly played and ate meals at each others' houses and I worked with one in 2010. Also knew some exchange students in college from the ME. That's the ones I knew about, don't really make a habit of asking peoples' religions. Non ever attempted to do me any harm or tell me theirs was the only way.
One of my Muslim neighbors just brought me some tabouli (she makes hers with mint and parsley but no bulgar) and showed me how to make hummus from a can of garbanzo beans.
I always keep a close eye on her though. Who knows when she'll turn on me and try to smother me with a Zip-Loc bag?
Not that I know of. Someone could be a Muslim, but if they were not forthcoming about it, I would have no way of knowing. I would not mind knowing them, but I don't seem to see any with their traditional garb in this area..
I made several Muslim friends when I was stationed in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Funny thing, those Muslims weren't rabid jihadists, they saw their religion much like we in the west see Christianity. They attended services on holidays, but most of the rest of the time, they didn't pay too much attention to it.
They'd been born into it, so that's the way it was, but they weren't fanatical about it and it usually didn't come up in conversations.
