And how would attacking a sovereign nation that'd used its own airspace while impacting no other country be anything but an act of terrorism?
so by that reasoning, some redneck goes to jail for armed robbery, when he gets out you would give him back the gun he used to rob folk?
Nope. That's just your "reasoning."
Totally off the wall and doesn't apply here. Iran didn't steal that money. It was paid to the US for aircraft that we sold but never built for Iran. We'd been holding those funds since 1979.
When we invaded Iraq, I was of the opinion it was Iran we should have focused on. But not with an invasion force. We could have done things far easier. Just park a couple Naval battle groups in the strait and let them come to us. Slap them around a bit, leave a chunk of their military resources to Davey Jones or the tender mercies of Tomahawks, no need to commit ground forces at all.
Iraq went down because W thought he would have public support for doing what we all thought Dad should have done. Finish Saddam while we had a good reason, and support from ME countries. As it turns out, just leaving him alone after his spanking would have been a better option. So it would have been with Khadaffi. They'd both learned their lessons about messing with the US, and both kept Islamic extremists in line without our assistance.
Irans wost nightmare is the US taking off the gloves with them. Oh sure. They talk tough, but they know if we decide to get really tough, it won't go well for them. No inane ROE, just a general beat down. The mullahs don't want that. We don't either, really. But it may be unavoidable.

You seem to be making a lot of excuses for the dictators who run Iran. And the only reason for it seems to be that Obama made a stupid deal with them that failed.
Do you mean Israelis? Cuz most of the Jews I know don't even own guns.
And are not on leashes, literally or figuratively.
