Only individual persons themselves have the liberty to regulate their own firearms. The federal government cannot infringe, or have an opinion about it that matters one way or the other.

Are you familiar with mountaintop removal, and valley fills? Did you know that "through every green valley there runs a clear stream"? (or rather, they used to, back in Jean Ritchie's childhood days...).

Did you know that the forests of the southern Appalachians were once the most diverse, richest forests on the face of this earth?

All gone now - for what? Did you know that the coal doesn't even get domestically used? It's exported. Did you know that deep mining is largely a thing of the past in the Appalachians, and that whole mountaintops are blown off with dynamite and gelignite, with the "overburden" being shoveled into the valleys, regardless of what's below those valleys (almost always one of those once- clear streams) and that this process is done by machine, with few so-called "miners" being involved?

You can't put it back, and what was priceless is on the block for a shamefully cheap profit - and an unimaginable cost.
