I haven't seen a sign with "Men Working" in a long time. In these parts, we see "Workers" or "Workers Ahead" or just a humanoid figure with a shovel digging in a pile of dirt. Probably because we have a lot of women chain gangs around here.

Oh, we also have "Flagger Ahead" not Flagman.

I happen to be in favor of generic People, Workers, Work. Worth stopping work on a project ? Absolutely not. Worth changing the signs ? Yep.
