Uh, Mr. Putin has personally put out contracts for MURDER of certain individuals....let alone all his other actions.
Why isn't DJT saying we messed up the middle east and therefore should take more refugees? That would be sane logic and reason.
But coming out of nowhere and kowtowing to Putin...is really really strange.
The US is/was far from perfect but in that same sense we were probably headed in the better direction before this election and now we headed away at warp speed.
Maybe Donald does need to do the Russian Apology Tour.
Does the deck of cards and MILLION DOLLAR bounties (dead or alive) in Iraq ring any bells? How about drone strikes on American citizens without a trial or any court proceedings? How about the CIA? Do you REALLY want to keep talking about how "Saintly" the U.S. is?
Yeah, we walk into this with clean hands...
Understand one thing, I am not just ripping on the U.S., there were/are valid reasons for some of this I'm sure (Bin Ladin for example) but I'd wager a months pay that the CIA and outside contractors working at our behest have done wayyy worse than any Mafia hit man ever did.
Acknowledging OUR past behavior is not a bad thing, it's called BEING HONEST and it's not like Putin or anyone else with half a brain isn't fully aware of at least some of what we've done in the name of "justice".
Is he wrong? God forbid someone actually says something that has some truth to it. Or, do we really need to go through the litany of countries and leaders we've overthrown over the years and then tossed into turmoil making those countries a hell hole?
How about Libya? THAT was a stellar show of how good we are right? BTW, it isn't JUST Libya, that's just one of the most recent examples of a U.S. screw up that the residents of a foreign country are now paying for in blood...
Oh, my. Maybe you don't know Russia's history. I hope you don't, and you are just comparing our democracy to Russia out of ignorance.
Look it up. Putin has assassinated his own citizens.
No, he's just saying in some things WE don't hold the high ground anymore, maybe, just maybe we've been at some times just as guilty of bad things as Russia?
The U.S. does hold the high ground to Russia, most definitely.
Maybe someone should do a summary post on the history of Russia and Putin.
Might be the smartest thing a US President ever said in regard to Russia. We need to have a good relationship with them to defeat Islamic Terrorism. We have a lot of killing of these rats ahead of us and having the Russians on board is a priority.
