This is why the sanctity cities, states need to give some real thought to what they are sanctifying. Riots like the one at Berkley Campus a few days ago...mass protests that block city streets, roadways etc. are costing municipalities a fortune in police presence, prohibiting emergency vehicles...people getting attacked physically while trying to express the same freedoms the protesters are supposedly protesting for...is ludicrous. I hope we see a lot more arrests.
NEW HAVEN, CONN.
Protesters in Connecticut temporarily shut down a highway, delaying an ambulance that was on the road and forcing workers to perform an emergency medical procedure on a patient.
More than 100 people protesting President Donald Trump's travel ban Saturday afternoon blocked a highway in New Haven.
As protesters were being cleared from the road, state police say ambulance workers had to perform a procedure on a critically ill patient in the vehicle instead of at the hospital.
State police say they found the leader of the protest, who immediately ran away, knocking over several of his supporters, before being caught. Authorities say they used pepper spray on 66-year-old Norman Clement after he resisted arrest. Clement faces numerous charges including inciting a riot. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
I don't approve of blocking roadways, train tracks, etc. Not only is it a huge disruption for people who have no control over whatever it is you want, it's very unpredictable and nobody can be assured of their safety.
What exactly is the justification of blocking ambulances? I never understood that one.
I doubt the leftists care if people die as a result of their actions. The only justification they need to put others at risk is that they feel entitled to get anything they want anytime they want it.
This subject was brought up on another thread not to long ago. There were a few posters who defended blocking roads as "protest" action. They just laughed off the possibility of something like this all the while spouting "free expression". I wonder if they will chime in thus on this thread? Blocking roads is not "protest". It's malicious mischief. There is no constitutional right to block free travel on roadways, or anywhere else.
The patient in the ambulance should hold the "protesters" liable for pain and suffering, reckless endangerment, all sorts, and they should all be criminally charged as well.
This bilge is out of control. There is no defending this sort of feces.
