Turns out that the Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow, had North Koreans round for tea and charged the British taxpayer for it.

It is symptomatic of the hysteria around President Trump that the representatives of one of the most brutal regimes in the world are okay - nobody says a thing - but the democratically elected president of one of Britain's closest allies is not.

Tea and Crumpets with the North Koreans, and we paid for it, how lovely.

Donald Trump Is Not Welcome To Address Parliament, U.K. Speaker Declares | The Huffington Post

His remarks were met with applause from other members of Parliament.

It says a lot when our closest ally wants our president to stay away. I don't think that's ever happened before. And to rub salt in the wound, President Obama did address the full Parliament, at their invitation. As did President Clinton. Ouch.
Grandstanding idiot that is going to cost his country and citizens....I'm fine with it.

Best thing to do with Trump, get him out of London as quickly as possible to Windsor Castle for a Banquet and then off to the Prime Ministers (PM) Country Home Chequers for talks with the PM and Government Ministers. Use the excuse that Buckingham Palace is having renovation and refubishment work, which is actually true.

Job Done.

We'll welcome him with open arms!!...... Give him the full works. A talk before both Houses of Parliament. He can tell them all about his yuge victory. MPs will nod, and roar approval. Any sanctimonious big mouths can stay home. But no invite to the magnificent buffet afterwards........

Big parade down the Mall with the Queen in her Golden Coach. Donald can tell her all about his yuge victory. Fancy meal at the palace...... put him up in one of the real nice bedrooms...... couple of flunkies in fancy gear, and white wigs....... Donald will like that.

Meet the Royal kids, few photos to show the boys back in Washington...... mebbe a round of golf. Bob's your Uncle. Queen waving him off at the airport. Trade deal in the bag........

Not sure Parliaments a good idea, as a lot of them could be quite hostile.

Just out of curiosity, who would win in a punch up between Donald and Dennis Skinner, then again who wuld win in a fight between Trump and Diane Abbot -'shudder', my money would be on Abbott.

If Trump wants to give a speach then give it to a selective audience at Banqueting House, Whitehall with it's maginificent Rubens ceiling or Mansion House in the City of London or even somewhere like the Royal Unuted Services Institute (RUSI) but not Parliament and certainly not in the House of Commons where the opposition parties could boo and jeer him.

Diane Abbott...... jeez, she would take the Donald with one arm tied behind her back!!

ROFL - Skinner is getting on a bit but he's a feisty old fella and I bet he's a sneeky fighter.

As for Abbott she's like Mr T's ugly sister.

Its strangely improved my opinion of the majority of the American people - keep on making your sensible, caring and just voices heard against the vocal fascist minority that have taken power.

What sexist and racist behaviour are you referring to? And don't say "are you kidding?" because that is a dodge.

The travel moratorium will be lifted when we can find out how to properly vet people from nations that have no way to vet these people themselves. And don't say that it is a ban on Muslims (not saying you did) because 90% of the Muslim world is not included in this moratorium

Secondly it's customary for the President to meet with Prince Charles at Clarence House, however Prince Charles is a passionate believer in Climate Change, whilst Trump has continually dismissed Climate Change, so there could be friction there.
Why don't you leave that for the two of them to decide this.

Thirdly Trump made a tweet about the Queens Grand Daughter in Law (and wife of the future King) Kate Middleton being topless, which will also make things awkward.
I read about this in the British online papers. The comments section (submitted by Brits!) overwhelmingly agreed that this was harmless advice to her and any intelligent person who read what he said would agree
