Usually refugees and immigrants assimilate and are proud and happy to live in their new country.

That has been proven NOT to be the case with the overwhelming majority of Muslims in Europe as they have seen the change from the first immigrants who seemed to be happy to the 2nd generation that created extremists and are pushing their life style on the people who lived in the Country before these immigrants arrived.

There is no racism or anti religion but anti Sharia law that once the group is so large, will be forced upon others and due to freedom of speech that groups is openly preaching it!

You can say it isn't true but go to Europe and go into these neighborhood instead of going to the Big Ben or the Eiffel Tower!

See it with your own eyes! Not what the media wants you to see.

In the Netherlands you have Morocco aan de IJssel! A complete community and not a small community as over here some have two or three streets but a large community where the cops are too scared to go!

How exactly is nationalism and xenophobia a response to poor integration. If anything, it further isolates the immigrant communities.

The nationalism came about because the Muslims refused to assimilate. It wasn't the Muslims refused to assimilate because of nationalism.

I killed that thread with this post:

The U.K. is not part of Schengen Area and thus currently has complete control over which non-EU citizens it allows into its country. Brexit will mean that once the U.K. leaves the EU it will gain control, which it currently does not have, over which EU citizens are permitted to settle in the country.
I guess once posters realized that Muslim refugees had NOTHING to do with Brexit, they lost interest in the thread.

The Irish and Italians raised their kids to be American. They as well supported the Constitution (vs advocating for Sharia law as many of the more militant Muslims do). Where I grew up there were lots of 1st and 2nd generation Italians and they were thoroughly American. Any immigrant group holds onto certain cultural traditions, but they are almost always non-issues for anyone around them. For example the older Italian immigrant women always wore black once widowed, but their daughters didn't do the same when they lost their husbands.

Ignoring the recent European influx of Muslims bringing their rape culture and violence from the old world with them, there are vast numbers of 3rd generation Muslims in places like Germany and France who have not even begun to assimilate. Instead they have created "no go" zones where they live.

Nothing a few pints of beer and a big steaming pot of meatballs and gravy couldn't fix.
