Historically when a political party controls the Executive and legislative branches, they typically lose power in the legislative branch two years later. If goes as it typically has in the past, democrats will gain enough seats in either the House or the Senate and that will effectively stop the majority of President Trumps agenda.

In essence I'm suggesting this newfound power is nothing to count on in two years, so how about not acting too cocky.

Maybe the senate. The house that's a much tougher nut to crack. Unless the republicans are completely incompetent at ruling.

If the democrats continue to keep skipping subcommittee votes, there won't be a need for recess appointments. People might be mad with skipping out on the job but over half of America will be quite pleased.

We shall see, right now they are proving that they are not conservatives.

Will they use what little political capital they have left, to block this SC Justice.... and have McConnell nuke him in and Ginsburgs replacement too.

Indeed. Republicans control everything. And they've promised us lower taxes, cheaper and more comprehensive health insurance, more jobs, and more secure borders.

So if those things don't come to pass, remember, republicans control everything.

Is the old Ruth Ginsburg retiring? After her outbursts about politics and insulting the presidential candidates, it's presumed she has dementia.
