Historically when a political party controls the Executive and legislative branches, they typically lose power in the legislative branch two years later. If goes as it typically has in the past, democrats will gain enough seats in either the House or the Senate and that will effectively stop the majority of President Trumps agenda.
In essence I'm suggesting this newfound power is nothing to count on in two years, so how about not acting too cocky.

Maybe the senate. The house that's a much tougher nut to crack. Unless the republicans are completely incompetent at ruling.
Democrats are totally impotent because the voters wanted them neutered, but Dems in the House and Senate can be team players if they choose and negotiate with the Republicans. I hope Dem politicians will eventually join in the fray instead of sitting on the bench pouting for the next two years.
If the democrats continue to keep skipping subcommittee votes, there won't be a need for recess appointments. People might be mad with skipping out on the job but over half of America will be quite pleased.
