This EO was a complete fiasco from the start. He bypassed all the processes and entities which are meant to be used when creating EOs, and the end result was a nationwide chaos, anger and confusion.
That to me was the most shocking aspect of the travel ban executive orders. It illustrated just how totally unprepared this guy is for being President. Instead of taking the time to get some advice from people about how to get an order in place that would do 90% of what he wanted to accomplish, he insisted on blasting forward with an order that everyone KNEW was going to be challenged, from day 1.
Once again this shows that Trump's motivation for implementing this order is NOT to make us "safer", it's just to make himself look better to his hard-liner base. If he really, truly, believed this was making us safer, he would craft an order than greatly slowed down or curtailed travel from these countries. THEN fight for more if he really believed that was needed. Instead he opted for an order that he knew from day 1 would cause confrontation and chaos - because that was the actual goal. Through that confrontation he can further divide the country and further radicalize both Right and Left. Trump thrives on conflict and chaos, that is his nature. He plans on using that chaos to cement his authoritarian power, it's an age old strategy, nothing new.

The law is very clear. So clear, a High School Freshman can understand it.
This judge made his decision not based upon the wording, the text, the language. He made his ruling based upon what Donald Trump, on the campaign saying, we needed to ban all Muslims from other nations wanting to harm us. He said it was Trumps "Intent" This was ruled unconstitutional by the 9th, based upon Trumps intent on the campaign trail. Not the text of the actual EO that was drafted.
Anytime "intent" is used instead of the text. It is a purely political ruling and not based upon the text of the constitution.
Stupid is not unconstitutional.

When laws are made, they are never running out of ink. They can be as specific as they wish. When it is left open, the liberty remains with the people. Not for the courts to insert language there that does not exist.
