....former longtime Democratic senator Robert Byrd was LITERALLY in the KKK = silence from Democrats....even praise from Hillary Clinton as her mentor.

....I'm a democrat/liberal who is just laughing at all of this. (time to switch parties)

Democrats...you're kinda selling yourselves out here. If you're going to take a stance...at least be consistent. Not convenient when it's great for you for political reasons.

So let's ignore things like Sessions' involvement in the Marion 3 case and his other racial incidents because Robert Byrd was a racist back in the 50's and 60's?

Yeah...you're right. Time for you to change parties. You should've done it a long time ago. You'll fit in much better on the other side of the aisle...believe me.

The Marion 3 case was over 30 years ago...

So your argument is...because one is more recent?

This is why the Democrats lost control of everything. You can't be inconsistent and roll with it.

Oh...i see. So there's a statute of limitations on how long we can judge someone based on their behavior now? Ok. But of course, only for racism against blacks, right? I mean, if you're Jesse Jackson and you said "hymietown" 30 years ago, well, that makes you a permanent anti-semite and Jew Hater...right?

So if Byrd can't be forgiven for his behavior that happened long before i was born, why should Sessions be forgiven for his behavior within our lifetimes?

BTW...save the "that's why Democrats lost blah, blah, blah..." I don't give a damn about that. I care about the here and now, and Jeff Sessions is the topic.

Now who's being inconsistent? Not me.

Nope.

Did folks leave Obama alone and move on after he was elected?
