Even our red counties are in favor of legal status

Quote:
Eight-five percent of Californians, including nearly two-thirds of Republicans, support a pathway to legal status for undocumented immigrants. Even among Californians who said they voted for Trump, 61 percent favor allowing undocumented immigrants to remain in the state.
Poll: California rallies around Jerry Brown, eager to battle Trump

62% approve of Jerry Brown
57% approve of the state legislature

30% approve of Donald Trump
30% approve of Congress

Trump is 100% our president.

That's the only poll number that matters.

CA will be put in their place. Either it will be done with force, OR CA can secede from the country. But we can't keep things the way they are now. CA can't continue to battle the feds, on items that are the feds responsibility.

Only benefit I see from CA's resistance is that it will make illegals feel more home/willing to move to CA, which will help ensure that they don't continue swamping neighboring conservative states.

There is a battle brewing and it is hard to believe that so many people are willing to go to bat for people who have broken a basic law of our country.

The way it will play out is postering and multiple lawsuits over the next 4 years and a huge pile of money will be wasted for nothing. That wasted money would be so much better spent to help the legal residents of California.

If Hillary had won would it be any better? If Hillary had won illegal immigration would have continued unchecked until California reached a tipping point of bankruptcy and then the entire country would be called on to bail them out of their own self made mess but as long as the Libs can sleep at night and feel good about themselves, it will all be worth it.

There has to be a legal pathway, and our Republicans know that. The vast majority of illegals wouldn't be illegals if they had a way to be full citizens in a reasonable amount of time. If that was available, then there would be much more agreement on keeping out illegal immigrants. When it's families and hard working people who are getting kicked out, there's not going to be support for the measures.

OR you can realize that its a colossal error to try and deport 11 million people and do the sensible thing by puttung them on a path to legal status.

The way things are now: the illegal population is shrinking.

So why the sudden scapegoating?

You mean leftist judges have been throwing tantrums. There's a reason why most of the lawsuits have been targeted in circuits where there are a majority of leftist judges. Its called forum shopping. We need to get Gorsuch on the Supreme Court ASAP to stop this insanity.
