We in the west take all their brightest minds so,who does that leave left in their country to try to rebuild it?
Can anybody tell me the numbers of refugees who have been given asylum in the west from Iraq,Afghanistan,Somalia etc and then went back to their countries under their own volition?.Are there queues leaving minnesota airport heading back to mogadishu?.Once they are in the west very few go back.

Population growth is a big part of economic growth. More consumers of food, shelter, products and services. Many large developed countries have programs in place to encourage birthrate because they are experiencing declining populations.

Refugees are also a world problem just for humanitarian reasons. Every country should be open to taking some refugees based on their ability to assimilate them. I had a "picture is worth a thousand words" moment when I saw those photographs of the drowned toddler washed up on the beach last year. You would have to have a pretty black soul to look at those photos and not want to reach out and help. These people are not economic refugees, they are fleeing for their lives.

What Jesus would not do, i (as a flawed naive human being) can only assume here , is work some magical miracle that made houses and jobs for the homeless and destitute. That he would leave to man, for we are here to solve our own problems and not always look to God to solve them for us, especially when God has so clearly explained how to do it ourselves.

This seems to be true, including Vets unfortunately. A simple search reveals there are many articles and statistics about the horrific homeless situation in our country.

I have never in my 60+ years seen a celebrity talk about this at an awards show, or mass numbers of people protest the White House like we saw during the Women's march after Trump took office.

There are 3 steps of the USMLE in the U.S. If you are foreign trained you must go through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates to vet your credentials prove you speak English and be certified take the two parts of the USMLE part 2. You still need at least 1-3 years in training (i.e. a residency) to take part 3 and become licensed.

I doubt they can be "doctors" right away.

You seem to think they have nothing to offer but many are professionals like economists and doctors.
I see plenty of homeless people on the streets of my city. Have you ever been to the Tenderloin in San Francisco? Bum city. Why don't you take all of these people into your house, give them a meal and a place to stay? They're human beings who desperately need help, after all.

Excuse my lack of empathy... This is my personal belief-if a civil war were to break out here I'd pick a side and protect it. Fight for it. Not flee and become a scourge/burden to another country. Or stand neutral and just protect what's mine from either side if I don't like either and they're out recruiting.

There is no honor in not standing up for ones belief or bringing said belief to a foreign land and push it onto others to accept. Assimilate to that countries law and order and language it's that simple. Why do western nations owe quarter to refugees?

My example is quite simple. Either stay miserable in socialist over taxed anti gun NY or move to Texas or Florida. I moved to tropical America. Do I want Florida to change to anything like NY? Wages only. More and better industry. That's it. In my area down here construction is booming, but in the wrong way. More and more retail stores/customer service that pay crap. Plus houses for more retirees... I'm an opportunist. If my day job is slow or if I'm ahead on hours, work 3-4 days there, fix diesel boats, fix jet skis, at a marina in West Palm after 5, and for the other 2-3 days I'm not at work, I work with a contractor installing complete irrigation systems, pouring driveways forms and laying pavers, applying the other skills I have under my belt. Florida will learn from upstate NY the scourge from south of Dutchess county bought farms and subdivided them and constructed new houses and raised property values and taxes grossly. Only difference down here property taxes cover garbage removal down here... Keep building snowbird houses at 2-300k (that back home would be 500-600k) and exhaust vacant land and resources... You'll be sorry in due time...

I have little to no sympathy for a military aged man running like a coward to avoid conflict or start trouble in a foreign land. Like I don't know... France. Germany. Switzerland... Between truck attacks, assault, rape, etc. Poland was smart.

Let's see they can go to Dubai, Qatar, UAE... But they aren't allowed there... I wonder why...

Yep. And "progressives" support this, for some unfathomable reason. I guess it all comes down to what others have said: their beloved changing demographics.

You were the guy pounding your chest earlier about rehabbing your house too. I guess its beyond you to understand the difference between having your family actually in a war zone and being homeless in the United States. You are too full of yourself to have empathy for people in a situation worlds apart from you.

Uh, wouldn't an American "professional" be even more expensive than the kid fresh out of college?
