There are countless threads already on this topic around the forum, many of them full of facts that cast a dim light on the raving bigotry and Islamophobia motivating the "Muslim ban." In short, you're more likely to be killed by a raging, "JEEEEESUS" loving white guy, by a random criminal, or in a car crash than you are to have a hostile encounter with a refugee. I don't see any right-wingers demanding to kick angry white guys out of the nation, nor an end to mixing religious fundamentalism with guns. Funny how that works.
As for the rest, honestly, just give it up. If all you can see is "crazy liberals want a terrorist attack because they don't understand how all Muslims are terrorists like I do," than you just don't get it.
So you mean to tell me more Americans (or Anglo/European descent) are committing more terrorist attacks than those of muslim ideology? If you want an open door policy, you are funding a terorrist attack because you are ASKING for it by just letting any old tom, dick, and harry into the country . Its not white Christian evangelists committing terrorist attacks on Americans at the day according to the overall statistics of terrorist attacks.

No, we all know what this is really about. There is NOTHING more dangerous to the right-wing "hate the other" ideology than risking having their base supporters come in contact with normal, every-day Muslims. Bigotry is a key part of the modern republican platform, so Muslims must continue to be shown as crazies with beards and bombs; if republican voters start to think of Muslims as "that nice Syrian family up the street with the cute newborn and the pretty rose garden" instead of "scary terrorist who's DIFFERENT than me!" they will lose their power. So, to keep control over republican voters, normal Muslims must be kept out of the nation so that they can continue to be the shadowy, scary "other" and forever misrepresented as bomb-throwing terrorists. That is why the refugees are being turned away; because there's nothing more normal than a person of any faith who wants to escape a failing nation and become an American. And Republicans can't allow Muslims to have that freedom.
The ban is for Countries that basically have no way to vet their citizens.......Somalia for example, basically little if any functioning government.
