It is not just California. It is happening all over. Our local news in Charlotte had demonstrators asking the city council to protect the residents (note that was not citizens) of Charlotte. Council put out a public statement that they did not deal in immigrants and the Federal Government agents were acting within their rights. ....

They also don't really need to steal SS numbers, they can get a fully authorized taxpayer id#....which just happens to be the same number of digits as a SS#.
There are also slews of agencies that will help them do this.
Arresting criminals? No, it's great no matter who does it. You are the one trying to make this a partisan issue and it's not. But if you don't believe me, why don't you start a new thread with a poll and see how many democrats are opposed to criminals being arrested?
Problem is that Democrats don't see being Illegal as a crime in itself, or they make excuses about what justifies a serious enough crime to be deported.
Remember just last week with Deblasio saying DUI wasn't a serious crime?
Same here in Austin, with the Sheriff making a big stink about she isn't going to follow the feds on immigration. So they went around her and the demonstrations are going for the second night in a row over in the Barrio.
Thankfully Texas isn't run by the delusional and moonbeams. The legislature is working quickly to clip that Sheriff's wings
Obama deported 850 per day, and Trump is deporting 30, and people celebrate and say "finally we are doing something".
