Never watched him before to my knowledge and he is a good mix of smooth and combative at the same time. He does answer the question but bats it back with a bit of a direct hit. Informative but pushes back so the interviewer can't really complain.

I like his style.
I thought he appeared extremely nervous. He was sweating as he read his pre-prepared answers.
You could actually see his eyes moving back and forth, but he is new at this and is young.
"...Scarborough painted a picture of White House staffers in a battle with the senior foreign policy team. Scarborough singled out Stephen Miller, saying “you’ve got a very young person in the White House on a power trip thinking that you can just write executive orders and tell all of your cabinet agencies to go to hell.”...
If you watched him on Meet the Press and then This Week, he said the exact same things on both shows, and he was definitely reading the answers, most of which were "you would have to ask so and so about that, because I do not know the details..."
When he started lying about people being bused into NH, and Stephanopolous repeatedly asked for evidence, Miller totally ignored him, as he had nothing in his script regarding that (and no evidence to produce).
I assume he was out there because Conway is on a leash in the WH and Priebus/Pence are probably just exhausted by trying to defend the admin.
Be that as it may, it doesn't matter whether he was on cue cards or answering the same dumb question again and again. Miller won.
Of course it matters. He looked nervous and fake and could not answer any unscripted questions, nor back up any of his points with facts. All they are doing is auditioning people. Next up? Kushner?
