It'll be interesting to watch. Have to see what happens. What trump knew. Flynn is just the tip of the iceberg.

The hypocrites in the GOP have repeatedly tried to nail every dem POTUS and many other dem candidates and politicians to the wall for a hell of a lot less.

PS (on edit)-- this isn't to say the dem party is free of corruption and smell like roses. I'm not suggesting that at all.

The defense that the Logan Act is ambiguous and never applied simply seems to make this all the more murky. That along with Spicer's defense that the WH reviewed the calls and found no legal issue.

So why in the world then did Flynn lie about the calls to the White House, well at least to Pence and presumably Spicer if it was no big deal? Sure I get lying to the press to avoid an awkward debate. But internally to your own team? All that does is raise the trust issues that presumably led to his firing.

Something sure doesn't seem to add up here.

The first question at today's press conference was whether Flynn also had been in contact with Russia during the election - an election that the Russian's hacked. In response, Spicer gave the most convoluted non-answer.

It's really hard not to conclude that THIS is the issue and why Flynn denied any improper phone calls so hoping not to go down that road.

You know, Pandora's Box.

Imagine the gall. A POTUS communicating directly to nearly 90 million people. It would work out sooooo much better if he would just trust the press to deliver the message for him. Like CNN. Surely, we can trust ol' CNN to deliver the news, can't we?
The POTUS could already do that via television, radio and YouTube and other methods.

The fact that he watches morning news shows and needs to comment on them immediately without thought or filter is concerning. He can't take that back and he can't have his spin doctors deny or fix it. Eventually, it will get him into deeper hot water than he and his administration are in now.

It's not the medium, it's the message. Or perhaps it's the inability for Cheeto to stay on message for more than a sentence.

We've had printed declarations, press releases, radio addresses televised speeches and whatnot since forever. What we haven't had (yet) is a President who thinks that a anything that can be contained in 140 characters is worth sharing with the nation.

It seems pretty clear that Flynn was signaling to the Russian ambassador to tell Putin not to worry about Obama's sanctions as Trump would make those problems go away once sworn in as president. Immediately following the sanctions, Putin did the unprecedented act of not taking retaliatory actions. A never before action by the Russian Government.

That, is a direct violation of the Logan Act.

Blasphemy.

Prove it.

He was just telling them sorry Obama is being such a Dbag.

No he shouldn't. He was a good man for the job. The liberals are just polevaulting over mouse turds like they always do. Flynn just said to heck with it.

Simply leaving doesn't make serious charges disappear. And since others knew about it, including the Commander-in-Chief, they will all be investigated. And calling us Koolaid Drinkers doesn't make the truth disappear either.

Yes, if the WH Gen Counsel said no laws were broken then why wasn't Flynn just told to amend his statements and "refresh" his memory...
Just heard that Pence was not told the truth until 2/9...two+ weeks after WH counsel was told by Yates...
but Pence wasn't kept "out of the loop" -- yeah, sure..

Pence likely blew his stack and said Flynn had to go once everyone knew he had been a patsy for Flynn

I don't want Trump removed from office. I want him to continue to let the scandals build all the way up to the 2018 midterm elections and beyond.

This story --Trump and Russia-- is a huge nest of snakes and they can't be unwound all at the same time.

Have patience...

Likely the entire story won't be told until years from now...
if the world is still around and America is a democracy...
