Maybe because Obama was the sitting President of the United States, and Flynn wasn't.

What on Earth are you on about? The Russian annexation was met with pretty much every tool of statecraft short of open war.

Trump waits until the noose is fastened around his neck to FINALLY sorta kinda get tough with Russia.

I bet Putin had to beg Trump to do it too. He was like, "Dude, we just meddled in your elections, stop kissing my ass and act indignant already!"

You're confused. Barack Obama was taunted by Putin and thrown around like a rag-doll as Putin's tanks and planes rolled in. The LEAST he could do was throw sanctions against Putin since he certainly didn't have the stones to stand up to him. That worked really well. Russia is still in Crimea. And yet you folks have the unmitigated gall to pile onto Trump for having to deal with an international issue that Barack Obama was too cowardly to confront?

Yes, after the fact. Barack sat on his thumbs...ever the reactionary. Turns out that sternly-worded speeches from a Hawaiian vacation house don't have much heft in the world of international affairs.

There's no sane reason for Russia to give Ukraine anything. It would simply mean giving the US and NATO a major base within minutes of Moscow. It's like letting a rabid dog into your front door.

Russia might as well roll over. That won't happen. They will most likely go to Kiev first.

After the fact of what? Exactly what did you expect Obama to do? The entire ordeal was fast, very fast.

I think what everyone should ask is; what do the people of Crimea want?
