U.S. intelligence officials have withheld sensitive intelligence from President Donald Trump because they are concerned it could be leaked or compromised, according to current and former officials familiar with the matter.
The officials’ decision to keep information from Mr. Trump underscores the deep mistrust that has developed between the intelligence community and the president over his team’s contacts with the Russian government, as well as the enmity he has shown toward U.S. spy agencies. On Wednesday, Mr. Trump accused the agencies of leaking information to undermine him.
In some of these cases of withheld information, officials have decided not to show Mr. Trump the sources and methods that the intelligence agencies use to collect information, the current and former officials said. Those sources and methods could include, for instance, the means that an agency uses to spy on a foreign government.
Not a big secret at this point. The restaurant briefing by cellphone light with the Japanese PM is justification enough, without even addressing the 800 pound Russian bear in the room.
Responding to the WSJ story, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence says:
"Any suggestion that the U.S. Intelligence Community is withholding information and not providing the best possible intelligence to the President and his national security team is not true."

"best possible" is the key phrase...Drumpf's limited intellect lowers the bar on how much intelligence is required to be communicated in his direction.

Just look at how the deranged are responding to the facts, with a refusal to believe the truth.
Yes, we have seen that about you stburr, but didn't want to point out your--uh, intellectual and functional challenges. The first step in getting help is acknowledging you have a problem. So, bravo for your admission! Good luck in getting treatment. It's a long, difficult road, but it will be well worth it. Gotta be painful where you're at now. Will be a lot easier to navigate the world from a new, reality-based position. Hang in there. You can do it.
Your family will be so proud and we'll have a C-D celebration when you pass that psych eval.
Its probably not quite as bad as suggested by the OP. I am 100% sure they are withholding non-vital information. Things like "Who gave us this". While with past presidencies it really didnt matter, it does now. And I say this because of the fact that shortly after his access to this sort of information 4 US spies were arrested in Russia. 2 of them were in Russias intelligence agency.
Does this matter? Not really, Trump is getting just as good of information as before, and if he goes out of his way to ask, I am sure they will tell him exactly where the information came from.
While I am no fan of Trump, and I DO believe the intelligence agencies are gunning for him, I also believe they will do their job.
