Not offended at all. Went to the Wright Brother's Museum and Wright-Patterson AFB yearly with my Dad when I was a child and took my students when I started working as an Educator. I know the story of the Wright Brothers very well being that I saw the movie at the Museum over and over again.
I've been to Dayton and visited Wright Patterson AFB. Does that count?
No. My Dayton roots run way deep, and visiting WPAFB does not count.

I'm telling you all: it's fightin' words to mention North Carolina in the same breath as the Wright Brothers, and we don't really care that Wilbur and Orville themselves packed up the flyer and took it there. We're very possessive of that airplane and its history.
