Sure, they could beat the DNC men's basketball team, but that's about it.

Put the best women's college basketball team against the worst men's basketball team, and the women's team would still lose.

It's like when the best women golfers attempt to play a PGA tournament and never make the cut.

If Babe, arguably the best woman athlete in history, couldn't do it...

I know this is very confusing to many people, but men and women are biologically different, and this difference gives men a huge physical advantage in sports.

Some people can't see past the nose on their face.

IF girls can play on boys teams, that means that boys CAN PLAY on girls teams.

MANY boys go out for the boys teams and MANY do NOT make the cut or are NOT on the 1st string and still want to play.

So, where do they go?

With this ruling they will take over the girls teams.

Title IX
Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 is a federal law that states: "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."

Pretty sure it's a Federal Law.

Federal law prohibits anyone from being denied the benefits of, or being subjected to discrimination on the basis of sex under, any program or activity that receives federal financial assistance. This provision, known as “Title IX,” applies to athletic programs in schools and colleges (Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, 20 USCA 1681,1682).

The U.S. Education Department's Office for Civil Rights enforces Title IX. OCR's implementing regulations specify that no one may be barred from participating in, denied the benefits of, or be treated differently from another person in any interscholastic, intercollegiate, club, or intramural athletics offered by an entity that receives federal assistance (34 CFR 106.41).

Title IX seeks to ensure that both sexes have an equal opportunity to participate in school athletics. But it does not require schools to offer specific athletic programs. In determining whether boys and girls have an equal opportunity to participate in any particular program, federal regulations require OCR to cons

Michiganmoon is correct boys are not allowed on girls teams.

Girls coaches are easy to find, since they are private a volunteer coach could be used. By the way there is this University in Conn. whose women's team could beat some men's teams.
So if there are women's teams who could beat men's teams, tell me again why men aren't allowed to play on the women's team? The power and domination issues are obviously not a factor here since they can be beaten so readily by the women.

That's nice. When you sign your child into parochial school and eschew public school, you abide by the rules of that school irrespective of what the law is. In essence you give up your rights when the agreement is signed.

This nonsense will get even worse with vouchers. Private schools, clubs, groups, etc. should be able to make their own rules and be free of any interference from the guv.

If the girl is good enough to play, what's the big deal? My sister played boys hockey growing up and did really well.

It should be the schools decision to make. Should you be able to decide who your neighbor lets into their home?

This is why I love equestrian sports. Only Olympic level sport where men and women compete against eachother on an equal basis.

But with that aside, why doesn't the school just start up it's own female basketball team?
