We need a travel budget that is set and can only be exceeded in times of a declared war.

trying to deflect will not cloud the fact trump has spent more in one month on his out of town trips and protection for his wife than Obama did on his trips home.
Maybe the next time Melania prays....she should pray for more money from the taxpayers. And ask God to touch the heart of those meany heads who think her husband, the billionaire, is a moron who is wasting tax money. Then....

Obama's cost never bothered me all that much (although, like anyone, I would have been totally happy if they had been less).
It's more that we're pointing out the blatant hypocrisy by those that were upset about Obama not being upset about Trump (who looks to be outpacing Obama by quite a bit, and will probably continue to do so).
This is a rather obvious point, though, so I wonder why you had to ask about it at all.
And...Obama submitted his tax returns for scrutiny while he transferred all of his personal holdings into treasury bonds so as not to allow for any conflicts of interests which any truly patriotic American President would do. Trump is swindler that has come to fleece and further enrich himself on the taxpayer's dime and of that there is little doubt.
