The recent confusion when Trump seems to have alluded to a recent terrorist attack in Sweden points up a major problem with this man as president.
Presidents need to make important decisions about international relations, the economy, and other government policies. Previous presidents have either known things or have consulted with those who do know things. (I will let you decide which president was which). Trump has only vague and often incorrect recollections of events and does not believe those presently in the intelligence or diplomatic communities can be relied upon. I fear that we face four years of policy decisions based on mood, prejudice, and poorly recalled or nonexistent events.
What did Kellyanne Conway say about Trump's Sweden comments? Did she go into hiding after she said that Flynn had Trump's full support, just hours before Flynn got fired?
As many posters have pointed out in other threads... Trump never said the word terror act or terrorist act.
But he certainly alluded to it to ramp up whatever fear and hatred he could and it should be duly noted......
Quote:
To any extent that refugees in Sweden commit petty crime, they do so at the same rate as other people of their social class. A study cited by Saunders shows that 75% of the difference between native and foreign-born crime rates is accounted for by where people live and how much they make. He adds, “Among the Swedish-born children of immigrants, the crime rate falls in half (and is almost entirely concentrated in lesser property crimes) and is 100-per-cent attributable to class – they are no more likely to commit crimes, including rape, than ethnic Swedes of the same family income.” Saunders also points out that where rapes do occur, the victims also tend to be immigrants, so the lurid picture painted by neo-Nazis and Islamophobes of white women assaulted by brown men is a fiction.
OMG I really want to post more in this thread but I am too busy watching all of the coverage about that terrorist attack in Sweden that Trump told us all about.....oh the humanity!!!!

like calling isis the jv team which gave them time to organize and grow
like saying a video caused benghazi
like allowing russia to hack government comouters for years befoe deciding it would be a good ploy to say the election was rigged and trump not legitimately elected
like saying yemen was a good example of his ME policy at work
like pulling out f iraq cold turkey to turn it over to the terrorists
like defending putin in a debate
like sitting on his hands while americans, christians and muslims were beheaded after telling us we needed to get involved in libya to prevent human carnage.
The community organizer relied on a chicago lawyer, VJ, to tell him what to do

And as many others have pointed out as well, he lumped Sweden in with countries that have had terror attacks and was using them all to make his point about immigration security.
The major issue is Trump gets his information from television, usually FOX, and doesn't bother fact-checking with his cabinet, or anyone else, before parroting it to the public. It's probably the worst aspect of his overall obsession with media, especially television media.
