Trump has been in office for a month, and he has felt the need to showboat and golf every weekend.
He even lied about how much golf he played this past weekend. His need to be in Florida every weekend, along with his Trump tower, and his sons travels, is costing taxpayers an absolute fortune.
Can one honest Trump supporter, admit this is just wrong and hypocritical?
If you count your weekends as vacation time, Trump should too. If anything, he should charge the treasury for overtime
I think the real problem is that Trump has two properties hosting members of the first family. By law, the president and vice president may designate one private property each for full Secret Service protection. Either Trump's wife and son need to move to the White House or the trips to Mar-a-Lago need to stop until they do. In any case, Congress does have the option to shut off the funding. Wonder if they'll ever summon the courage to do it.

What was the gift, the green fees, hotel and dinner. Did Trump pay a few million for the secret service detail? He could have just hosted him at Camp David, why did he need to spend the weekend at his resort. Great exposure for his country club, he doubled the entry fee to $200K, no conflict entertaining a foreign minister at your country club.
This was a pretty good thread until it was closed, looks like some records will be set covering NYC, NJ, Fl and all the offspring trips to other countries. I hear the SS is hiring.
45 could go to Florida every weekend and gas Muslims and Mexicans in concentration camps and the followers would cheer. My school had a semester course on the Holocaust in 8th grade and, back then, I wondered how people didn't do anything. At a cost (so far) of eight figures, when he could be working out of the WH. Since we (and not he) have to pay for it, it's an issue.

Trump will continue to work out of Mar-a-Lago/Trump Towers every weekend until the bad apples from the Obama administration are removed/prosecuted for espionage.
I can't really blame him for wanting to head to Florida as much as possible. Being is Washington is likely a constant reminder that he is not a popular president. In Florida, it's easier to shield himself from his detractors. He said as much himself during his rally in Melbourne: "I wanted to be among friends."
