Ummm, low energy prices are generally a good thing. Less money going to gas to go to work, less money to heat your house, lower or stable prices on products which are oil dependent means more disposable income to spend on other goods or save/invest.

Return to the days where oil was only bought and sold by users and not being used as a investment vehicle and things will find a natural level again.
That's the Contango market, & I thought the market was supposed to solve all problems?

How likely is it there'll be a 'return to those days'? Particularly when the prevailing notion seems to be the market will solve any & all problems? Baffling.

Exactly. Low energy prices are like getting a raise, but you pay no taxes on the resultant extra disposable income.

You all get that, no?

It's highly unlikely because there are too many that are lazy and don't want to actually have to work for a living. They want everything gave to them.

Biggest Gasoline Glut In 27 Years Could Crash Oil Markets | Zero Hedge
President Obama is still 'forcing' the oil companies to store oil offshore so investors can wait until prices rise? Baffling.

There is an oil glut due to the huge increase in fracking.

i.e. Sarah Palin was proved right yet again. Drill Baby Drill.

Meanwhile, Obama wasted 100s billions of dollars in vain attempt to put millions of electric cars on the road. That completely failed.

The "record levels of gasoline sitting in storage" tankers offshore is due to fracking? Baffling.

The number of electric, hybrid, electric/hybrid cars continues to rise. I never have figured out why so many get so butthurt over the choices others make.

Why not end all subsidies so that the the choices are nobody's business?
