GOP bad vetting in 1992.

Somehow, you slipped "the left" into your thread title.

Clearly it doesn't belong there. But it's taking up lots of real estate in your head.

We know now that Bush was either badly informed or lied about the weapons of mass destruction
His job as president was to analyze the intel and decide wisely. Instead, he listened to Cheney and started a stupid war that Cheney's Halliburton profited "bigly" from - at taxpayer expense.

and we are now dealing with the mess of that and the mess of Bill Clinton not taking out Osama Bin Laden when he had the chance. Missed opportunity!
Missed opportunity: Dubya letting him go in Afghanistan in Dec 2001.

Got him: Obama in 2011.

President Trump is the first president who steps up to the plate to make everyone aware of how bad vetting can be costly!

Think across the aisle and see the benefits for all. Very sad that these individuals had to deal with this so called doctor who wasn't a doctor and who caused death and deceive which could have been prevented by actually vetting as he never got a degree to practice.
Again, explain how "the left" vetted this guy in 1992.

Carry on.

Couldn't ya give us a Dramamine required warning before ya start the spinning?

Another urban myth that just won't die. Yet you have nothing to say about Bush invading/occupying a nation that did nothing to us rather than focusing our resources on finding bin Laden, eh?

Yeah, 9/11 showed us nothing, right?

Or maybe you're just said because you're attempt at blaming the left was so poorly done.

With all due respect, Bentebee, what are you talking about?

He immigrated to the US at age 27 in 1992 for a residency. Not that it matters, he was a Christian. Upon completion of his residency, he was awarded a highly selective fellowship to Memorial Sloan Kettering. Is there a question about his qualifications or competency?

He eventually opened and operated his own Cancer Treatment facility in Michigan. He was known for his aggressive treatment of Cancer with high dosage of drugs. Medicare and private insurers reimbursed his facility for treatment. Medicare pays MDs 6% of the cost of medications administered in office or at outpatient facilities.

The facility operated its own lab, pharmacy and radiation operation, common in Cancer Treatment facilities. At peak, the facility had 17,000 patients.

An office manager noticed the high rate of turnover of MDs who worked at the facility and it eventually became known they were leaving because Cancer diagnosis were being gamed. Note the MDs who departed did not report him. Professional courtesy?

Guy was eventually convicted of falsifying diagnosis of and treating of 553 people who did not have Cancer, public and private insurance fraud, kick backs and money laundering.

He did so for power ( clearly at least 553 people would eventually become Cancer free) and greed.

His crimes have nothing to do with his ethnicity, religion or immigration.

The common business model he used, whereby one facility controlled all aspects of diagnosis and treatment is common in Cancer Treatment which strikes me as ripe for abuse.

Psst: Even if one were to take that as true - and I for one don't think it is - the problem was not with his competency, it was his character. The man was greedy.

This MD was a greedy SOB which had nothing to do with where he was born.

I am curious about your circumstances of immigration. When did you immigrate to the US? Did you possess a unique skill that otherwise did not exist in the US population? How exactly should the US have evaluated your intention to immigrate versus a future risk that you might become greedy and commit insurance fraud or violate professional ethics or commit a crime or get a traffic violation?

What objective criteria could be used to predetermine anyone's ( native born and immigrant) future likelihood of a criminal act in absence of a history of crime?

The first colony in the US was created 410 years ago by immigrants. Since then, there has never been a shortage of immigrants who preferred subsequent immigration to cease after their own ship disembarked, especially from countries or races or religions other than their own, excepting slaves because they had no human rights, based on their race, ethnicity and method of entry.

bentlebee is merely living up to the time-honored tradition of US immigrants: That of kicking people off the ladder as soon as he's in the lifeboat.

So- called ( Trump language) Doctor? Cite your source, please.

A NY hospital vetted and admitted him into their residency program.

He then went back to school at Cornell for a Hematology specialty.

He was then vetted and awarded a Hematology Oncology fellowship at the highly selective and prestigious Memorial Sloan Kettering, a top 5 global Cancer hospital.

He was vetted and licensed to practice medicine by NY and then Michigan.
