The media is always trying to find an angle to fight Trump. We need to KEEP what is a terrorist country ban -- not a "Muslim ban". The fact that they call it a "Muslim ban" is your first clue that this "article" is just another effort to delegitimize Trump.
Please note that only one of these had connections to a country on Trump's list. Note the countries banned were Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen
For each of the above attacks listed:
1. Hadayet was an Egyptian National - Egypt is not on the list.
2. Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad born in Memphis, TN, visited Yemen and married to a
Yemeni woman (this is the only attack that was connected to a country on the list) and the main perpetrator was born in the US.
3. Nidal Hasan born in the Arlington County, VA - to Palestinian parents - may have suffered from
PTSD - I don't see Palestine on the list and the perpetrator was a natural born citizen of the US.
4. Tamerlan Anzorovich Tsarnaev and his brother, Dzhokhar Anzorovich "Jahar" Tsarnaev - born
in Kyrgyzstan (that is a former soviet socialist republic, not on the list).
5. Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik - Farook was born in Chicago, Illinois with parents
from Pakistan, Malik was also from a wealthy family in Pakistan. Again Pakistan is not on the list and the main perpetrator was born in the US.
6. Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez - born in Kuwait - one parent from the West Bank and one from Kuwait - neither country on the list. He was a naturalized citizen of the US.
So, exactly how is the list Trump used at all helpful in preventing attacks?
I haven't seen any comparative numbers of foreign visitors, but I know that there is currently a heck of a lot of negative publicity in the foreign press. The murder of the Indian engineer in Kansas was a major story in the Indian and British press and the detaining and questioning of the Australian child book author drew headlines in both Britain and Australia.
Stories that highlight xenophobia are bound to have some effect. Banning the BBC, Daily Mail and The Guardian from WH pressers isn't likely to result in more favorable coverage. The basic message that's being read from the election tea leaves is most likely that foreigners are not welcome by a large bloc of Americans, so some who would normally visited and spent money here are staying home. I'll be more apt to believe it though if there's a slump at Disney parks. They seem to be immune to almost anything.

It's a brand thing. There's no lack of attractive places to vacation in this world, and the Trump association makes the US much less attractive to many people. Simple as that.
Yes you are probably right. We become less attractive when they have to leave at the end of their vacation.
Very good point, which seems to be lost on some. It's just like when we go to Europe, when you exchange your currency you want the most for your money.
Still seeing tons of foreign tourists here in Southern CA, a walk down Hollywood Blvd. or the Santa Monica pier shows that.

That's always smart, deny yourself the vacation you want.
Kind of like the guy who decides to stay home from a big concert he wanted to attend with a group of friends to spite some girl in their group who wasn't interested in dating him. So stay home and be miserable that will sure show her......LOL.

It isn't.
Dept. of Homeland Security said as much which they declined to present a bogus reason for the Muslim travel ban.
Then you know more than Trump. "Trump called his national security adviser Mike Flynn at 3 a.m. to ask a seemingly straightforward question: Is a strong dollar or weak dollar better for the U.S. economy?"

Just under 12 MILLION overseas visitors come to FL each year.
Trump is scaring off millions. And the problem there is that central FL really needs those non domestic dollars, those visitors spend a lot, stay off site a lot and buy an awful lot of vacation homes.
I am betting we will see a further drop in vacation rental homes...... it has been a tough market for them ever since to housing collapse.
