A Republican recently put forth a bill addressing e-verify to be mandated in every workplace. We'll see where that goes. The Gang of 8 bill included amnesty and wouldn't make those already on a payroll pass it. We need a good clean bill with no strings attached to it. As it is now, employers claim they didn't know one was an illegal when they hired them. That could be true or not true. It has to be proven that an employer "knowingly" hired illegal aliens and that's hard to prove without e-verify. Illegals present authentic looking fake or stolen ID's.
