Funny, I don't remember any racist attacks on minorities. Enforcing immigration laws that have existed for many years? A travel ban from 7 countries known to be rogue practically without a government and or who openly support terrorists? Are those racist attacks? Really?
Perhaps you're so wound up in your own hatred, you can't see straight.
Sometimes it isn't what you say but how you say it. Trump campaigned using very strong, hateful language. Of course most Americans want to stop illegal immigration, even Democrats. I'm a Democrat and I certainly don't want people entering our country without proper documentation. However, the way these problems have been addressed has been promoting fear and hate. I'm certainly not in favor of anyone breaking the law by stealing a person's identity, but the working mother of 2 who was deported was not one of the "bad hombres" Trump keeps talking about and the little Iraqi boy and his family who came here for life changing surgery aren't terrorists who wish to do us harm.
There was another thread about 2 Indian engineers who were shot in Kansas. One of the men died and the shooter yelled before he fired, "Get out of my country." I am not blaming President Trump directly for a man's death, but I can't help but wonder if all the slogans like "America First" and "take back our country" didn't ignite a spark in a man who found strength in those words, with help from a little too much booze.
..........Trump keeps talking about and the little Iraqi boy and his family who came here for life changing surgery aren't terrorists who wish to do us harm.......
The hate has been there, well before Trump came along.
Trump is the fruit of all the hate, once the onion's peeled. Not the cause.
I agree with this, although he did perpetuate the anger. He also prolonged the birther conspiracy by saying someone who was not a real American was in the White House. In my last post I used the words "take back our country" which is not a Trump slogan. It took me a few minutes to remember people began to chant that after Obama was elected. So the feeling that America is being "taken away" was there years ago.
I have to laugh, I have been watching the liberal snow flakes digging the bottom of the barrel berate Trump since the inauguration, quality entertainment I tell ya.
You know how pristine white snow-flakes get dirty with the roadside slush...well...this reminds me of the liberals..all once slushy snowflakes that lost their color and now are just melted brown slush.
Why are you posting the dubious emoticon? I was answering a post that mentioned the travel ban. The boy's parents were separated from him. A 2 year old undergoing life-changing surgery needs his parents. By the way, the travel ban wasn't about illegal immigration, so I don't understand your comment. Many of the people who were detained or turned away were tourists or visiting family. Some had work visas. Others were coming here for much needed medical treatment. Most people support some kind of enhanced restrictions or vetting, but the travel ban was carried out very chaotically. Trump supporters often post comments that imply people who oppose Trump's policies or actions want open borders without proper vetting and documentation which is absurd.
So now someone who tries to ensure that the law is enforced is exhibiting hate and fury?
First we had Clindong, then we were Bushwhacked, and last but not least the Kenyan. All of these for 8 years each. There is a generation out there that does not understand what reality is and the laws are meant to be enforced.
