To those who don't respect the law, they will do what they want illegally. Heroin killed 50,000 people last.year.

I'm starting to wonder if we should just legalize all of this stuff. Tax the hell out of it, redirect money from policing it to programs to help people get off of whatever substances they are on. Instead of fighting prostitution, tax it to death, regulate it and again, help the sex workers get out of that line of work.

Fighting it all of these years hasn't really fixed the problem, instead just clogs up the prison system and costs more money in the long run.

Man has vices and faults, plain and simple and none of this stuff is going away anytime soon.

Exactly. I actually be okay if heroin and other substances were decriminalized. Them taxes on marijuana and prostitution. Make it both legal.

Taxes pay for universal mental health and substance abuse care. Slap heavy fines, but don't arrest individuals who utilize decrimibalized substances. However, individuals who seek substance treatment will have fines waived. Individuals who use decrininalized drugs in a safe zone will not have any fines put against them.

Harsher sentences for those who sell decriminalized substances and are not a recognized distributor of these substances. Say 10 years in Federal Prison or deportation if from another nation.

Harsher sentences on individuals who run and control illegal prostitution rings, again 10 year'so in federal prison or deportation to country of origin.

In addition to, increase goverment regulation of brothels. Especially in regards to public health, underage sex, and sex trafficking. Again individuals found involved with regards to sex with minors or sex trafficking receive minimum sentence of 10 year's in a federal prison and no extradition to country of origin.

Also any individual who uses decriminalized substances out of a designated area risk losing any goverment assistance they are receiving.

Prostitution and weed should be legal.

Heroin? eh.. no strong opinion. I will leave that to public health professionals. It shouldn't necessarily be treated like weed, I'll say that much.

Why legalize any of them.

Marijuana destroys homes and lives. Should probably criminalize possession of alcoholic beverages too. That way we can save lives and homes, end all this drunk driving mess, end Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Almost all these car crashes involving altered states of mind when the driver is operating an automobile, it's usually always alcohol and marijuana.

Case in point.

Officers were called to the area just after 11 a.m. Feb. 12 and found the sedan on fire and several passengers injured in the street. One of the passengers, whose brother was killed in a stolen car crash last year, was unconscious and taken to the hospital for possible bleeding on the brain and broken vertebrae.

An officer spoke to Evans, who appeared to have "glossy eyes" and smelled of marijuana, and Evans said an unknown fifth person had been driving, according to the criminal complaint.
He was involved in a number of carjackings too. Typically these carjackers and armed robbers are high on alcohol or marijuana.

Well...according to Democrats they should be....

In their world the jails are full because heroin, marijuana and prostitution are illegal.

Democrats believe everyone should have the "free choice" to have access to those things unimpeded.

Throw in late-term abortions and for people to wed their dogs and they'd be in hog heaven.

Legalize it all with the proviso that if health problems erupt from their personal choices, they pay for their medical care and rehab. If they can't pay, they die. No heroic measures, nothing but a guaranteed grave.
