Yes he did. I have a new respect for him for doing that.

There are very few who have the courage to do that. That's probably why birds of a feather flock together and blend in. They don't have the courage to stick up for what's true and right.

Just like it was W, Bush program that got OBL, and Obama took CREDIT for it.

If you are going to take credit for something you had very little to do with, then you had better take the "heat" for a plan you OKed and went bad.
Oh, please. Trump is 70 years old, not 7. And you're blaming Obama again? LOL. Trump had the choice to change the plan, delay it, or not implement it at all. I can only imagine people using this defense in real life. It's like their powers of logical reasoning are suspended where Trump is concerned. "The news is fake!" "It's Obama/Hilary's fault!" "He'll make someone else pay (besides the taxpayers) pay for his grandiose plans. "It doesn't matter that the entire administration is corrupt; as long as everything looks fine." "He truly cares about lowly Americans, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary." "He is uniting us, even though he is really doing the exact opposite." I cannot believe we have sunk to this level.

You do not reject communism, you simply recreated it under a different cover. Socialism is the stepping stone to communism. Regulation is a backdoor ownership scheme of the government.

Do you own your property? No, you do not, the city/state/feds do.

Do you own your business? Again no, the city/state/feds do.

Even your own works are owned by the government.

Seems like you support communism, you just renamed it and applied a different approach. You and Marx are in agreement.
I wonder how many times I have read this comment in all its very similar forms, especially those questions that presumably prove the point...

Well beyond trying to reason with such a person, I can only imagine what it must be like to live a life believing the likes, walking around somewhere out there feeling so completely owned, controlled and held slave by government. The sort of person we all hope government might keep on the watch list, because who knows what sort of acts a person like that might be capable of carrying out.

Too bad in any case that we can't go back to being trappers out in the wild, because I'm not sure how else we can truly be owners of our own business...

Down with taxes! Down with rules and laws! Down with the city/state/feds! Down wit guboment!!!

Refer back to the comment just prior to yours, #811.

There are tens of thousands who would disagree with you about Obama. However, I'll give you that, looking back, he may turn out to be a 'good' president in the views of some of the population. We know what he did and did not do.

Whereas Trump may just turn out to be a GREAT president. We have yet to see.
As we all wish, right?

Doesn't matter how things "turn out." All these threads and comments well prove that even when all is said and done, there will be those who think Obama was the better president for all their worthy and/or not so worthy reasons, and there will be those who think Trump was the better president for all their similar reasons, mostly not all that much having to do with who was actually the POTUS that most helped America be better than it was before.

All this effort to argue one way or the other is about as objective as devout Christians expressing opinion about Islam and Muslims their opinion about Christians, scientists about evangelicals and evangelicals about science, dogs about cats and cats about dogs...

The speech seemed pretty popular at work today, which is where / when I listened to it.
I'm no supporter of all things Trump, but I for one don't remember being more interested in what next might come out of the White House. Just wish that interest were more hopeful, but maybe that's what makes for the interest...

I thought it was Trump at his finest. He spoke with a measure of civility, quiet dignity, and professionalism, but most important of all, sincerity. There wasn't any of that sense of being fake compared to prior presidents. Trump spoke from the heart and it really showed.
Touching, but I felt the same about Obama many times...

Maybe our sense of sincerity is much like our sense of right vs wrong, truth vs fiction, somehow also clouded by what we want to hear before we hear it...

Possible?

Why is it that some folks can only consider the work/jobs part of these equations without even mention of the other variables?

In politics, just like in math, there is addition AND subtraction, pluses AND minues.

Tomorrow we'll get into multiplication and division...

The media are not bashing him now. They bashed him when he deserved it, but not now. And we don't have to be embarrassed now, at least for the time being.
Are you trying to suggest what the media does should be considered, other than as the enemy of the people?
