Working together means a compromise.

The Gas Oil Party (GOP) has shown they want no part of a compromise no matter what the POTUS said last night. His actions speak much louder then any words.

I was very sick and insurance did their part without a hitch. Five years later I lost my insurance policy because of Obamacare. I also have a different doctor but hey at 56 years old I have maternity care <sarcasm>. The insurance company or policy wasn't crappy to me and the monthly premiums were reasonable. So take your liberal talking points of LIES elsewhere, they won't work on people like me who liked their doctor and liked their healthcare plan.

As I said working together means you need to compromise. You must not understand what that means.

To a liberal working together means "your way" or you call people racist, bigots, deplorable's, uncle Toms, sexist, for not giving you your way. I give you ...

Exhibit A: Obama Era
Exhibit B: Pre-election.
Exhibit C: Post-election

Nah.

Smarter leaders in the Democrat party will take a long look at what Mitch McConnell's role was in pulling the Republican party out of the doldrums. Politico magazine has a good article on it. But the hotheads are ruling the day right now...and they want Trump impeached yesterday.

After last night's speech, I realized Trump is probably going to be in office a full eight years.
Trump was very presidential last night because he stayed on target by reading the teleprompter. I find it ironic that people are praising Trump for such a great speech when he didn't actually say anything we haven't already heard from him. The difference is...he came across as every other president has done...to be respectful which he has never been before. You have to be respectful to others if you want the same in return. But a leopard can't change his spots so I can't imagine this will keep up.

There's really no point to even compromise with conservatives with attitudes like yours.

Look at all the "socialist" countries around the world who has universal healthcare, tight regulations, high minimum wages, strong safety nets, higher taxes. People are healthier, happier, work less hours than we do, and live longer. People aren't ANGRY about taxes like we are in this country. Funny thing ain't it?

What other evidence do you need? And your specific situation doesn't work as "evidence". That's only your personal story. Public policy deals with everyone.

But hey if you don't think so sure go ahead, be hard headed.

The "left" wouldn't do these things when they held the White House, the Senate and the House but you expect the "right" to do it?

I don't get it.

Because it takes time to do. Especially when one party doesn't hold onto power for a long time. You need one party to hold onto the White House and Congress for at least 10 years to really transform the country, it didn't take those European country 2 years to do either, we shouldn't expect the same. We keep flipping parties and each time it flips the opposite party undos each other's work. So nothing eventually gets done.

There is a reason they didn't hold on to power for long.

"We have to pass it to find out what is in it".

They lost power on that day but because she can raise money she is still in power. It goes to show it's all about the money, not in helping people. It's why they were abandoned.

The GOP'S work and the Obama/Hillary wing of the (D) party is little different.
