He was a sitting senator. Are you planning on impeaching every senator who has spoken to an ambassador from another nation? You need to concentrate on finding a viable candidate for 2020.
And THIS^^^is why the Dems will lose again in 2020. Denial is not a river in Egypt.
Looks like Sessions also crossed paths with Russia Ambassador Kislyak in April last year.
According to an account by one of the hosts, Sessions mingled at a backstage reception with Trump and Kislyak prior to Trump's first foreign policy speech at the not-quite-completed Washington hotel.
At the start of his confirmation hearing, Sessions raised his and and took an oath to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Then minutes later when asked about any communications with Russians by those involved in the Trump campaign, he did not tell the whole truth.
We know that at one time he understood perjury as he was all over Clinton about it when Clinton lied under oath about getting a blow job.
Also, Session's recollections of the meeting in his office with the Russian ambassador remains spotty. He can recall a tale of going with a group of his Christian friends to Russia some years ago, but can't recall what was discussed in a meeting just a few months ago. Often those with developing dementia can recall long past events but have trouble recalling more recent events.
Sessions does that wee elfin grin business. Often those with developing dementia do this little grin and giggle business to cover up memory lapses.
If he had had his wits about him, Sessions would have known that it was not ethical or even reasonable to investigate a campaign he was part of and would have recused himself weeks ago without all this drama.
He would have mentioned his meetings with the Russian ambassador and explained it in his confirmation hearing. Surely, he knew it would come out. It was in his Senate office, for crying out loud, not the back of some limo parked down by the river.
I'm not trying to be snarky, but rather pointing out that this 70 year-old man is slipping.
The nation's "top cop" is a challenging job in the best of times.
Is Sessions mentally up to the task?
Maybe he shouldn't have accepted the job. They don't create these memory care locations for nothing.
You keep posting this. Who are you trying to convince?
The Dems are following the same playbook that lost them the WH in 2016. I really don't need to convince anyone that the Dems will lose again in 2020.
